As for this other Doctor Kelman account, that's just hilariously fake!

Yeah I tweeted him asking what the code stood for before I posted this message linking to the screenshot of the video being rendered.

Anyway, I'm quite proud that it was deemed so professional Alton had to deny it was legit :D

They are going for the cryptic message strategy but clearly shows that they are clueless...

You say that as if an official account would reveal everything on request.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Whoever is running this Doctor Kelman account has obviously spent a lot of time looking at Phalanx Control's tweets from last year, as they have the same sort of cryptic answers.

Also, they appear to be following a lot of randomers instead of just the usual geeks which means they're getting a lot of tweets to answer.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Anyone else getting slight flashbacks to April 2009 and Maude de Neville? ;)

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

This person is very determined, he's just posted this on the Twitter account:

Of course this photo could have come from anywhere, it's quite entertaining :D

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Seeing as they've been outed as a fake account by AT themselves, I don't know why they keep on posting really...

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

just going back to the covered van. It cant be the ambulance, The nose is the wrong shape for a 1981 Ford Transit/Hanlon ambulance, and there is no step in the bodywork behind the cab doors or two bumps on roof. blue light above driver at the front and one on the near side at the back of the roof.

The ambulance used in the video was an ex West Yorkshire vehicle with the reg number of cub476y.

It's an old fashioned ambulance, you can see the sign at the front.

Or it could be an ice cream van, that would be amusing if its got bog all to do with SW7 and was just one of the ice cream vans :D

The van isn't the Ambulance used in the video - I looked back at the clip and the shape is quite different.

Because it is clearly an Ice Cream Van!! I mean, it's shaped exactly like an Ice Cream Van, believe you me, after TT@10, I know that van when I see it! I actually think Towers might just be doing this to have us on you know! :p
Notice how the cover has been designed specifically for that vehicle?all the straps are positioned to make it "figure hugging" - they wanted the shape of it to be clearly on show.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

The van is parked down the staff road (near Express parking), so the only people who will see it are staff, it just seems a strange place to leave it if it is related to SW7, they have plenty of space around the theme park or even at Merlin studios (where it has probably came from).

It could be one of the ice cream vans, there is no reason why they wouldnt cover it up all closed season, otherwise it will be just left there for 4 months getting covered in dirt, mug and mould. But once again its a strange place to store the ice cream van.

Anyway new photos taken today:

New delivery since last week in the car park:

The staff car park is starting to look very empty, meaning alot of the track is now on site, or even put up!

There are a few more photos on the Towers Street Facebook page.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Hmmm, doesn't look like much change since the marketing photo was released? Unless it's a completely different part of the coaster, although not being able to tell where the photo was taken from I can't be sure. Great pics though :)

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

I don't think that bit is part of the Staffordshire knot thing, my guess its one of the airtime hills before the knot as the top of it is levelling out. But it's really hard to say from that picture.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Look where the support connects, it's clearly inverted. It's the cobra roll or batwing.

Ohh yeah well done didn't notice that, it doesn't quite fit in with any element based on what we know is installed from the released promo pic, but it could easily just be the angle.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

If that is The Fried Chicken Co building isn't it the opposite end of the construction site to the promo picture?

My understanding of the site gets more confused by the photo.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Going by the that last photo it looks like the the first drop into the underground section. You can just see the fried chicken place in the background. The photo looks like it was taken from the opposite side of the photo Alton towers posted of batwing cobra roll. Maybe wrong just my first impression.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

It looks like it's going up fairly fast, some great photos again ;)

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion Continued

Looks like that's part of the cobra roll to me. However it is really hard to get a true perspective of the site from Farley Lane.

:)
