I haven't posted for a number of years on TTF at all. A lot of people would have probably forgotten who I am. Formerly LiamSAFC, I would like to wish the team all the success in the project. It would have not been an easy decision to leave a website community where everything was started and there was so much commitment involved from everyone especially the team. It's such a sad situation but 'mean as you go on' of course, this will hopefully be a fantastic venture!

The community itself here has always been fantastic. Keep striving forwards, I'll keep reading and I hope this is the start of something incredible.

Massive thanks to everyone for getting TS off the ground so quickly. A few days ago I was really apprehensive about what the future may hold in terms of moving on from TT. Thankfully this has proved unfounded.

It would seem some solid foundations have been laid, and already a solid user base of former TTF members as well as a couple of new faces is in place. The futures bright, even if it isn't quite orange. (Purple's fine though :) )

Evidently there is still a lot of work to be done, not just on the site as a whole, but getting it established and in the public eye, as well as building up a solid and trustworthy reputation.

My renewed optimism ( and it must be stressed, it isn't very often I am optimistic in any way, so make the most of it :p), and the 'New start' as it were, has even leant me to consider the occasional post and contribution here and there, something that was rather lacking of late on forums elsewhere. :)

Good work guys & gals. Keep it up. :)

Errrmmm... yeah. I am indeed that Harvey. Now, before you run at me with your pitchforks and ban sticks, I have something to say. I'd like to send my deepest apologies for the mess I made back on TTF. It makes me cringe looking back on the way I behaved, and I want to assure the team who've moved that I've moved on so much. The other person who cause all the trouble is a distant memory, and I can promise you that the only intentions I have for joining your new site are to make a fresh start, enjoy debating and discussing the theme park world and hopefully have a worthwhile input into the project, as opposed to my previous actions. Once again, I am really sorry, and I wish you the very best of luck with your big step forwards. I'm right behind you if you need any help whatsoever.

You could of easily picked another username and posted without having told anyone that it was you but you didn't, it really takes a lot to step up and admit that you were wrong and apologise. It's really great to read posts like that really restores a little bit of hope. :D

Thanks, Will - and the reason I didn't choose a new username was precisely because of what I did. Me & a 'friend' just acted a bit immature, defacing the site, and giving the team a hard time trying to find out who was who. Double accounts and false identities made this even harder. It's all in the past now though, and I'd like to thank everyone for giving me such a warm welcome back. It means a lot that you can still be so inviting. :D Good luck with constructing your new site.
 
Well as I said it's good to hear that you've changed your tune, but you don't need to explain yourself to anyone now just put it in the past and get posting.

I don't actually know what's occurring, but er, the current TTF team speaks volumes! I know I tend not to post much but I care not to be part of a community which lacks flare, entertainment and a friendly atmosphere. Consider myself moved before dictatorship and walking on egg shells starts.

Not to sound ignorant, but what is all this about? I presume this happened before I registered on TTF?
 
As a long time follower of TT, I'm very pleased to see this site up and running after the happenings on TTF. You've done a great job guys.

Don't know if it's just me, but it seems a whole lot more laid back and generally happier on here too.

Here's to a long TS future :)
 
Welcome to the forum, yes it does seem a lot more relaxed and I can see this place being far greater than TTF ever was.
 
The aim of the site is to be a lot more relaxed, we're really looking to do something different with TowersStreet now that we have a fresh start from scratch :)
 
Hello all. I have been a member on the old site since 2002 and thought I'd check out the new spawn of TT. I'm impressed with your progress so far! Looking forward to seeing your plans unfold :D

Hey everybody.

I'm Rupert - I was captain on TTF but was never really a fan of that name, and wanted to use the real one.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party - I had a uni trip to Spain for a couple of weeks, got back and immediately set off for Strasbourg, just as the team resignation happened, spent a week in Strasbourg and within 24 hours of leaving Strasbourg I had moved house to The Hague, in The Netherlands. So unfortunately I won't be visiting any UK parks for a while, but hopefully I'll get in a trip to de Efteling.

Despite the team relocation seeming somewhat bizarre at the time, it's good to see pretty much the same atmosphere here (but probably a little more optimistic), lively discussion (something that has completely stalled on TTF) and a more open team, now that TTF seems to consist mostly of posts from the oligarchy now in charge. Hopefully the forum will continue to grow, and really establish a different identity from TTF (Sam's suggestion of renaming the Merlin/All Other Parks forums to UK and Abroad would make a big difference I think!).

If anyone's interested in my RCT stuff, I won't be able to do anything for at least the three months I'm living here - I'm working and didn't/couldn't bring my desktop. I'll restart SC here sometime but I don't see much point doing it soon as there's nothing new to show.

Anyway, good luck with the forum, hope you're all well. :)
