Because from the looks of Facebook, we're addicted to the Tassimo at home sensation!

Who else got one for christmas?

Share your recipes, hints, tips.... you name it!

I'm still longing to order the Monin Blackberry syrup to make myself a Costa Black Forrest Gateux hot chocolate... might pop and get some now actually! :p

Monin Syrups - http://intl.monin.com/#/syrup/premium-syrup

I have recently pur-chased one of these fine beverage making appliances. I cannot wait to try it out.

How does everyone rate the Milka T-Capsules?

Where are the best purveyors to buy the capsules from too?

As someone who does not have a Tassimo nor a coffee machine, what are the advantages of buying a Tassimo as opposed to a regular machine?

It seems like you're locked into buying the T-Discs?

The convenience and ease I guess.

Normal machine - load ground coffee, press into machine, activate hot water, await filtering of coffee, drip into cup, no idea on volume/quantity, load milk, froth and steam, add to cup. Clean machine of dirty coffee, milk steamed etc etc.

Tassimo - Insert disc. Insert cup. Press one button. Wait. Load milk disk. Press button. Wait. remove drink. Drink drink :p No cleaning. Bin T-Discs :p The right measure of ingredients for the best taste each time. Plus, you can customise by adding more water if you want anyway.

well i wish i could afford something like that, I cant even afford to get spares for my vehicle.

Alright then, what's the advantage of the Tassimo over other cartridge coffee machines, like the Flavia, Dulce Gusto and others? :p

Seems to be a bit of a fad at the mo, and just wondering why :p

I think it's helped by the fact Tassimo seems to have 'won' the war of coffee machines so to speak. I've had one for over 2 years now, and still plenty of places stock the discs etc. I love mine! :D

Its just penetration of the brand, pricing and availability. Both Dolce Gusto and Tassimo machines have been heavily discounted this christmas, so they have both picked up a large number of consumers.

There perhaps seems a little more Tassimo consumers due to the choice of drinks readily available on supermarket shelves, plus their tie in with Costa was a major influence for a lot of people.

Dolce Gusto discounted their machines more, but their machines are also a little more "manual" than Tassimo in that you control the water flow. They don't have a large high street brand supporting them either, and I do tend to find theres a little less shelf space for Dolce Gusto pods than Tassimo.

So yeah... they seem to have really pushed them out hard this christmas, to the point its choked Tassimo's supply chain of T-Discs/pods at the moment and retailers can't keep up!

My dad got a Tassimo for Christmas and he loves (So does the rest of the family). It is just so easy to setup and get working no knowledge is required, Like it was said before the T-Disc's are so easily available on 99% of supermarket shelves.

I really like the CARTE NOIRE Crème Brûlée.

Dolce Gusto user here...

*expects to be stripped of team position soon*

:p

Bean to cup machine for me, load fresh beans press a button and wham your coffee is made for you.
Bloody expensive though but at least don't need to go to macci d's now.

Being that I work in a cafe and I get free fresh coffee everyday, I've become a major coffee snob. Only the freshest of espresso for me please. I'd never ever drink instant coffee or anything from those machines ever again.

Had a Tassimo machine for quite some time now, love it - and the Costa Coffee t-disks you can now buy, mmmmm nice :)

I too am the owner of a Tassimo machine - from the Costa Card offer last month! It's great! The Latte is amazing.

However, I am trying to perfect the art of a Flat White using Cappucino packs. It's not easy...

:(

Best flat white - Costa Americano and the regular milk tassimo (which I get from Tesco).
Fills my big mug and is coffee heaven.
