I want to say a brief something about 'The Smiler'.

The Smiler is simple, unique, and curious. It certainly makes you think about why such a meancing ride can have such a simple yet happy name.

It'll certainly be a special ride!
 
Just a random quirk that I'm sure means nothing (and maybe it's already been mentioned, in which case, apologies):

But, you know that little gif on the site which includes a number that rotates to say 'SMILE' ?

You can do a similar thing with SW713 (as in SW7, 2013) ....
 
This may have already been posted, but LMC Design Ltd just tweeted this, which was subsequently retweeted by Towers, so I think the company behind the design for The Smiler has been confirmed if that hasn't already happened.

It seems the generic line being used in the press for The Smiler is: "The Smiler is an all-knowing, all-controlling force which will make riders compliant until they become smiling advocates."

That came up a few days ago, the company that made it says that it is unofficial and just made by one of their employees for fun, but I'm not so sure as it seems a bit professional to be made for fun. Time will tell whether it is real or not. :)
 
Ummm... I don't know where to post this, and thought this might be the place? I apologise if someone else has already posted this too, but I can't see it posted anywhere else.
Anyway, onto things, Towers2go have posted this on their Facebook page. I don't know how legitimate it is, but it has some interesting claims. Including, that the post hasn't been published as an article yet, and that it has been translated, so not all of it makes sense. I think it's interesting that it's had to be translated, It must be big if other countries are making news articles about it. With 'hidden' information in. Unless it's German, and it's a mag to do with Gerstlauer? But, then they wouldn't give it to an Alton Towers site. Any ideas?
