Well, what a weekend!

Have had an absolutely amazing time and was really nice to have a weekend making the most of not just the resort, but also Alton village Saturday afternoon

A few highs and lows:

Highs:

- Seeing everyone again, having not seen most since Fireworks 2012!

- Waterpark fun on Saturday, despite it being rammed

- Spa this morning - much needed relaxation time!

- Lunch in Alton Village at a rather underrated pub with some amazing drawings of the Towers!

- Wander up onto the hills near Alton village to see what we could see of the park.

- SGR meal Saturday night

- The sosches in the bar on Friday & Saturday evenings

- Ian, Joel and me on the 10p machines in the ATH arcade (You shouldve seen the look on the poor woman in Subway's face when I paid her with the proceeds )

- Just being able to relax and not rush around for a change

- ....and other stuff I've forgotten

Low (but rather amusing after the initial shock/embarassment wore off!):

- My trainers falling apart and being written off during the horrendously muddy walk on Saturday afternoon, resulting in me having to wear flipflops from Cariba's shop for the rest of the weekend

Literally a LOVELY weekend, it was most tolerable!

UTMOST SUCCESSES!

- Had brilliant meals both Friday and Saturday night;

- Drinks and associated silliness;

- CRISP!!! Corridor (Skywalk gets chilly at night);

- TWO drinks;

- My first time in the spa;

- Getting shoved out of Master Blaster's station backwards;

- Giggles with Satch, Simon, and Sam on Friday night;

- AstroDan's mental breakdown death march (my shoes are completely ruined)


MISERABLY-HANDLED CHARADES!

- Distinct lack of sleep, but I still felt great all weekend;

- My gash.

I'm not sure how I'd be able to reiterate just how much fun and hilarity was had during the entire meet! I was so happy to be back with the group that, quite honestly, there are very little negatives to even write down.

Highlights

+ Top Thrill Taggster

+ "That is a civil offence!"
+ Meeting MiNigle and oldgitBEN for the first time
+ Joining in with the frivolous vocalists both nights
+ Friday eve' bar sosche
+ TWO DRINKS!
+ Cari- I mean, er, ALTON TOWERS WATER PARK
+ Going to The White Hart to find out the kitchen was being refurbished...
+ ... Which consequentially involved josht downing a pint...
+ ... Resulting in the car race around Alton finding a place to have lunch...
+ ... Satch taking a wrong turn, insert slow clap here...
+ ... And finding out the absolutely lovely Blacksmiths pub existed...
+ ... As well as a decibel counter! *Cue loud shouting and chair leg squealing*...
+ ... And POT BREAD! BREAD-IN-A-POT!

+ Dangerous sign posing and bemused locals!
+ Exploring the area around Alton...
+ ... Though when I say 'exploring', I mean following Astro through some very muddy fields...

+ ... Until meeting a very lovely horse (christened Blue Fire) and a slightly miserable Shetland Pony who melted Sam's heart
+ Surprise Beaumont visit, "YOU'RE LATE!" "I was never meant to be here!"
+ Roman the waiter in The Secret Garden
+ Getting rather 'intoxicated' in Margs
+ "AND BLUE!" *Simon smashes wine glass*
+ Ride music recitals
+ Staying up until 3 in Margs
+ Bear and I's newfound love for rays and their derpiness ("Imagine if ducks were replaced by sting rays!")
+ "The third floor corridor is strictly forbidden!"
+ SUMPTUOUS spa visit
+ Disapproving "BUILD QUALITY!" shake and approving "Build quality" pat.

Lowlights

- Not having the stomach to eat that much over the entire weekend
- The mud on the fields being absolutely ridiculous
- Barely being able to see the progress on TST's Lateness Award Winner of 2013
- The sight of the Chained Oak

In no uncertain terms, this weekend has been one of my favourite ever meets from either TTF or here We did so many things we would not usually do, and I couldn't stop laughing for half the weekend either.

Highlights

+ I loved seeing everyone again - quite a few people I hadn't seen for more than a couple of months
+ The cozy drive to Towers from Lichfield in Astro's car
+ "Curtains need cleaning!"
+ The obligatory M&Ms
+ A pretty good meal in Shambo's on Friday evening

+ The 'spies' guarding the Emperor Suite
+ "Clean up on aisle three!"
+ "We are what we are"
+ Cariba Creek was good
+ All the racing around Alton
+ Josh's unfortunate drink purchase in The White Swan
+ Meal at the Blacksmiths pub was impressive
+ All the shouting and chair dragging on the pub noise meter

• A brilliant meal at the Blacksmiths - Would very highly reccomend this to anyone!
• A nice meal at Secret Garden
• The misserably handled charade of a fire evacuation in ATH
• "Give it a few minutes, and we'll see oiled up Kaycee sprinting out of the spa!"
• Simon seeming to be never far from a bottle of wine
• Visiting Alton Castle at last
• Learning ATH has PacMan Ball - Life = COMPLETE
• The countless other things I've no doubt missed off this list!

Lowlights

• Children in ATH... They shall be BANNED when I come to power!
• Rather busy waterpark on Saturday
• Leaving!

There are just SO many highlights from this weekend I wouldn't even know where to begin listing them and even now reading people's posts so many little things are coming back to me - it was so much fun, so lovely, and so many great memories.

Trying the Spa for the first time was the perfect relaxing end to the weekend, which just brought so many laughs and drunken antics and meeting nice new people and horses and rambles and ahhh

Thanks to Jordan for booking the room, Satch & Simon for the lift, Rowe and Dave for also being in the room and being lovely, and everyone else for making it a brilliant meet.

Making this official was definitely a good idea!

Chris, I most strongly disagree about the rambling.

I thought it was great fun, and it was nice to do something non-theme park based on a meet. Does anyone else want to do a bit more rambling and general country walks?

It was more a joke at how ill-prepared everyone was for it

It will be much better when the ground isn't so saturated with water.

The horses were my highlight of the weekend.

Thanks for a great weekend, guys. Apologies for not being overly social and appearing to mainly stick to my old, old friends... it's been a rough time of very recent late, and there were times when I was wondering if I should have stayed at home. D'oh.

Was a bit gutted to have missed out on the rambling (I had booked my day in the Spa for the Saturday, thinking everyone else would be doing similar!), would love to do things like that.
