Selva Magica to receive Flamingoland's Bullet

Bear

So 7 years after being closed, this utter heap of LEGEND is being relocated (after being refurbed at Vekoma) to this Mexican park, according to IAAPA.org.

To those who have never heard of The Bullet before, it was a custom-designed Schwarzkopf shuttle loop featuring a backwards launch through it's banked S-shaped station, into an insane 270-degree helix and a 65ft loop, a 131ft 70-degree tower, and then the same backwards! I found a suitably mental POV for all to enjoy.

While I am hoping this turns out to be true, I have to be honest about how gutted I am that Bullet isn't coming back to the UK! Still, I can't wait to see it turn up somewhere all redone and repainted!

It's a shame that it won't be nearby but at least it finally has a home. There's something tragic about a great coaster being SBNO or in storage.

It seems that Schwarzkopf coasters all go to Mexico to retire. Magnum's there, so is Thriller and now Bullet's heading there too.

It still operating in the world, a triumph.

It no longer operating in Europe, a tragedy.

According to Mrs. Alvey off TPR, bits of track and such are on-site, but they are awaiting planning permission before erecting it (which will most likely erect me too).

So off it goes to join it's cousins out there...still wish we had a Schwarzkopf looper still working in this country. :(

If anyone's been following TPR's Mexico tour, you'll have seen the pictures of Bullet's track all spruced up and restored to it's former glory; apparently the ride is being built for next season (although I heard from Selva Magica themselves that they were opening it this summer).

Sidenote, they appear to have made some track piece for it too! Notice how the cross-ties on some bits are different to the originals.

Someone buy this and a few other Schwarzkopf loopers from South America and bring them back to the UK!
