I believe the Sun article says that that photo was taken in celebration of screwing in the final bolt, so looks like the track for this beauty is finally finished :D

It may have said that but the photo was taken quite a while ago going by the state of the track in this pic: ;)

Don't worry though, there's only one piece to go as far as the latest updates show. May already be in for all I know!

But in said photo you can see an incomplete inverted drop! :p It sounds like there is one piece left to go in, the top of the first lift. That should be going in tomorrow. Then no doubt sometime soon they'll be a first test in the middle of the night that only a few people know about!

I've just realised that, that picture must have been take a while ago because the first inverted drop hasn't been finished.

And the advertising covers are still on the fence to the right of it, which as far as I know have been removed now I think :)

No all the advertising banners are back around the site, I think last week they had just fallen off. Most of them are looking a bit worse for wear now, and have so many cable ties holding them up!

As of 5pm tonight there was one piece left of track to go in, and probably 2 or 3 bits of the lift hill catwalk.

Yeah, the wind basically destroyed the banners last week. It's a shame they've put them back up though. I noticed that a lot more people were looking at what was going on with areas of no banners.

I really like the version of the uniform worn by the person on the left in that photo. It's very yellow, and looks a bit freaky!

I really like the uniform the guy on the left is wearing. It looks like what I would expect as uniform for this ride.

The braces I'm not sure of, but they do look ok.

Preferably, I'd rather see what that guy is wearing become the uniform for the whole Smiler team. At the moment there seems to be several variations which do not quite link up well.
