So the clues so far, as per the videos:

1) Do not resist

2) Its Time 2

3) Get Corrected

I have no idea what they're planning for this webpage, but I imagine some sort of secret feature, maybe the opening date, might be revealed once part 4 is revealed?

I think today's video (as already spotted by Fredward!) is to show that Dr Kelman isn't the main feature of the Ministry of Joy, he's just playing a small part in the giant game. Star to us, pawn to the MoJ.

Ohh how WONDERFULLY intriguing!

That woman's voice probably would have sounded alright had it not been juxtaposed against Gerry's ridiculously good acting. Even the echo effect can't mask the fact that it sounds amateur.

I thought it sounded like a male voice that had even shoved through some cheap audio editing programme on Windows ;-)

Re: Clues - It appears they are giving away a VIP prize to experience The Smiler for one lucky person who submits the correct clues.

Lets do some time warping confusingness... What if the voice is Trish all along time travelling... And becoming leader of the gang!

;)

I like the idea that we will never know who or what the leader is. It kind of retains that mystery about the whole of X Sector and Oblivion. Who or what is controlling everything? We will never actually know, that's the mystery. Instead we have these faces that represent the mysterious force. The Lord of Darkness, Dr Kelman, Miles Cedar... they are just the faces we see, but they aren't the ones in ultimate charge.

I quite like it. It brings in a new concept but still fits in with the old one. VERY cleverly done by Merlin Studios/Alton Towers.

Oh dear, these videos seem to be getting poorer, both in acting, content and production quality. Those effects on the voice are just hilariously bad. :twirly:

I still stand by my original comments...

I get the feeling Sanctuary and Dr K made a bigger impact than they where expecting. So these videos are to move people from The Sanctuary to The Smiler linking the two. I quite like them :)

Okay, I have to agree with a few others, following the other two video's, I feel this one is a bit of a let down, it's a lot less tense and not quite as excited. However, I do feel that it was important for the video to be that way, this has now really started to finish off and piece together the story. It explains Miles' actions and why he wrote the book, and it really begins to tie it all in with The Smiler!

The one thing I do really like about the video though, is the new side we see to Doctor Kelman. In this video, he seems rather unsure and a tad on the nervous side, and it really shows that he is not the top dog so to speak, he too is the way he is, because he is also being controlled, he is the puppet of another higher force!

I tell you, the plot really does thicken on this one doesn't it!

It's not as good as the two other episodes, but I always see the penultimate episode of anything as the "set up" - it usually lines up something decent in the final part.

That said...

Towers have just tweeted this.

So there we have it. Finally - an opening date for The Smiler.

Opens on a Thursday then...gives them 2 days to prepare before the half term rush.

I agree completely! This kind of thing is a classic twist in a story, it reminds me of old sci fi programmes like Doctor Who and The Prisoner. Who is number 1?

If this concept of a secret hierarchy actually comes through in the ride itself, it will add another great layer of secrecy to the X Sector regime.

I still wish they had brought back Renny Krupinski to reprise his character a bit, although apparently he doesn't do acting anymore. Nevertheless Dr Kelman has proven to be a similarly intriguing character (I never got to experience The Sanctuary unfortunately), if somewhat vulnerable and instable... perhaps he has been marmalised himself!

from the narrative side i like it, a slower video but give a good background to miles.

No trains!? Aarrrgggghhhh!!! xD

Brilliant bit of marketing though. Simple, dramatic and it lets the ride do all the talking!
