True, but then again I may or may not have been sitting in a field earlier with binoculars hoping to see The Smiler test once the park was closed... ;) (it didn't test, another fail for the day)!

Never been to a ride opening before, is it advisable to get there at 8? Or even earlier?

I think people usually wait in Splash Landings but I assume people will be much earlier than on regular meets. Myself and one or two others will be arriving at the park around 8:00am on the day. :)

Me and Danny are considering booking a room at Splash using the Sun code for the Wednesday night. Only the family rooms are left so that's a bunk bed and a double - 2 spaces free at about £34 each. Anyone up for it? Need to book soon so reply ASAP. :)

I booked this as a day off today, so I'll see you there folks. ;D

How much point is there in getting there early? I'm tempted to, but I can't imagine it's going to be of much benefit unless everybody does it.

I should be getting there for around 8. Not as early as my original intentions back when the opening date was March 16th, but not too late either.

Booked a room yesterday for the 22nd so we don't have to get up at stupid o'clock.

AT Hotel was full and only a couple of family rooms left in Splash. Checked later and only Pirate & Ice Age Rooms available.

Just in-case anyone was thinking of doing the same though i'd pre-warn you there might not be any rooms.

Also, saved myself £100 using the "sun13" code, thanks whoever posted that :)

Seeing as it one of my days off it would be rude not to turn up for the opening! I'll be there.

I will be there about 08:15 :p as that's the time the towers bus gets in from leek!
