Oh ok. I did have a feeling that the camera technology on the ride would be a bit too advanced.

Oh well, speculation is all part of the fun!

So apparently we do have a glass floor after all!

I just hope the indoor section is dark and not as bright as on all the videos. Looks rubbish seeing all the metal showing. Defeats the object of putting it indoors.

Where for me, I don't think I've ever been LESS excited for a new rollercoaster. We've seen everything and know exactly what happens. I'm glad I had the chance to grow up in the era where secrecy could be maintained easier and had the chance to enjoy earlier rides in the way they should be - via discovery on arrival.

As long as it's one extreme or the other I don't mind. Either really dark or a total explosion of colour would be fine, just please don't let it be (another) poorly lit concrete tunnel....

Am I one of the only people who doesn't want to know what happens, if anything else will happen?nothing beats watching people on thirteen for the first time when the ride is finished, they totally didn't expect it and the look of shock is great, one day I want this to happen to me instead of sticking my nose in just because I cant wait .

You're probably the only one in the 'Spoiler Discussion' thread who thinks that!

There has never been a ride like that, nemesis, oblivion, air and th13teen where fully revealed on TV before opening.

Whinging about to many spoilers in a spoiler topic is a new one.

As Dave said I've followed everything at Towers from Oblivion to the present day, and I've never been blown away by a huge reveal during my first ride on anything.

I really can't see how a ride can be 'spoiled'. It's not a book or film.

When you walk into X Sector you'll face a huge 14 looping coaster, "Oh just looking at it spoiled my ride on it."

I see your point, You see the ride at face value when enter X-Sector. This topic is discussing potential parts that could be classed as adding less of a wow on the day you first ride it (Queueline videos, Indoor sections) It is not spoilt in a way that you can't enjoy it like a book or film but.. actually here is an example.

During TH13TEEN construction we knew about the drop where as the thrill of the ride was said drop and when / where it would happen.

Here would be a thought process on opening day between a enthusiast who uses forums like this and a member of the public who has only seen the adverts.

Enthusiast: "Right we have just done the outside section and now here is where it is going to drop"

Public: "Oh god, where do we go now? There no track in front!"

*DROPS*

Enthusiast: "Haha knew that was going to happen.. And now.. Backwards!"

Public: "OMFG! That was a shock! Now what?!?"

So if we put this back into context...

As a member of the public sits on that train and faces darkness they are going to wonder what happens where as we know what happens.

A little off topic but an attempt to wrap up the last few posts...

Last week we visited Disney Studios for the first time and rode Tower of Terror. Had we wanted to know what was going to happen (interior layout, ride cycle etc.) we could have quite easily found out online, however we wanted to maintain the element of surprise so steered clear until we'd ridden it...personally I think the experience was better for it!

Buy posting this in the spoiler topic It's fairly obvious that I'm not as concerned about keeping the same element of surprise on the smiler.

My point is...it's YOUR decision! To say that we live in an age where keeping secrecy is impossible is daft. Surely you can simply avoid the relative media and enjoy the ride for the first time completely in the dark (or light, or strobes, or washing machine...or whatever's in there...oh sod it I want to know...TELL ME NOW!!!!!!!!)

Tower of Terror is a little different. Unless you stare up at the building for some time to make it obvious what's going to happen (seeing the windows open) you can go to the park and have no clue what's going to happen. The same, to some extent, with Th13teen, or even Sub Terra. If you're a bit oblivious you join the queue and get strapped in and experience what comes next.

The Smiler is completely different. The main part of the coaster is on display as soon as you enter X Sector. The thrill isn't a secret. This is the same with Air, Nemesis, Oblivion and Rita...whilst queuing for Air you see the trains going around with people on their front, Nemesis you see the whole coaster and it's twists and turns, Oblivion you see the massive vertical drop, Rita you see it launch at an impressive speed. You see the Smiler and instantly you see the inversions/'loop-da-loops' and you know what the ride's point is.

Of course people can avoid knowing what the Smiler is like until they enter the park. But the element of surprise is darn right ruined when the enter the queue.

That Brendan bloke makes me cringe my balls off.

Completely agree. No need for all that bull with this one. Wardley went deep enough into the hyperbole himself; why extend it in to all that facial recognition crap? :/

He sounded so unsure at the end of his spiel when he said "disgust" - which isn't even on the list that he should have memorised. His lack of conviction at the mention of the "thrill laboratory" is also laughable :p
