Re: Quick Questions 2013

I would not pay for express parking. I turn up a bit earlier, take a gentle walk over to loos by the ticket booths. usually chatting and joking with my daughter, friend and his son, it a nice start to the day.

Then at the end a nice ride back on the monorail (if it still open) then a cupper and snack we left in the car, to let the mad rush for the gates to die down a bit before heading for home.

It is just not worth rushing around and getting stressed, it just ruins a good day out.

Re: Quick Questions 2013

I've had one since the video preview of the game was released.

I can share but not sure how.

I basically ripped the music from the video and edited it so it started from ITHOTMK

Has there always been a skeleton in a cage by the nemesis turn before the loop or have I only just noticed it?

Re: Quick Questions 2013

There used to be one there years ago, which rotted away.

Twas replaced for scarefest last year, and will remain until that too rots away.

I think it's add during scarefest and taken out but they've just left it in from last season

Re: Quick Questions 2013

When buying an ORP, the receipt/bottom of photo has the code to download it regardless of whether you purchase a digitial version or not.

Does the code still work to download if you dont pay the extra £2 for a digital copy? I always feel as though I'm being unnecessarily ripped off as I remember it was briefly advertised as free.

Do you mean the "reference" code at the bottom as on this (below)?

I just put it into Picsolve and it doesn't work. Guess they've changed it again now.

Re: Quick Questions 2013

The picture reference number on the receipt is the number printed on the bottom of the photo if you take it out of the sleeve. PicSolve naming protocol is (Park initials x2)(Ride name x2)(Unique image number). The number shouldn't work in the online service unless you pay the £2(?) extra for a digital version, and have it uploaded and activated.

I do think it's a good service to offer, but I do think £2 is a bit expensive on top of the £8 already paid for the standard photo. It isn't really anything mega fancy, just cloud storage really. Now £1 would make it very reasonable I think, and I would consider doing it just to preserve a copy of the image incase anything happened to my prints.

Which route tends to be quickest in the mornings to get to Nemesis? In the past when the Skyride has been down i've tended to use the back route past the lake and Pink Lodge, but was wondering whether the other routes like going through Katanga or the Haunted Hollow would be quicker :S

I would say the quickest route is through the edge of the gardens. Enter them next to the Haunted Hallow (on the right), and you come out next to the skyride. Katanga would be the longest followed by the Haunted Hallow.

I only visited OldMcDonald's farm for the first time the other day, how long have the donkeys been at Alton Towers?

I THINK this is their third season, possibly their 4th.

They were there when I did my A-level project with Towers which was 2009 so it's their 4th season.

Can members of the public use the AT transport buses? If so, where does it stop in Blythe Bridge?

Re: Quick Questions 2013

Was today (June15th) a special day? I won a pair of tickets from the 'wheel of win' and they said excludes special events and June 15th. We actually realised this (my two friends who I gave the tickets too) after we had all got in. How does that even work, they got through the turnstiles no problem.

Maybe Father's Day ?

Re: Quick Questions 2013

I guess there could have been something planned for today originally, maybe a concert or something. But probably got cancelled or never got passed the planning stage, therefore the tickets will work.

Re: Quick Questions 2013

I was just wondering, do you think The Smiler will be open this weekend as winds and gusts are forecast for the area this weekend? Could this increase the likelihood of stalling? It's just because I am travelling up for my first correction process this weekend.

Many Thanks
