Could I just say a mahoosive thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty here, working around the clock to build TowersStreet. :)
 
Given the double D, do you not think 'Towers Street' would be a better stylisation than 'TowersStreet'?
 
Would "Towers Talk" not be a little better, as I keep reading the current name as "Towers - Street Talk" which sounds a bit wrong really. Really appreciate the effort gone into the new site though, feels like home again tow!

For the time being at least TowersStreet will stay stylised like that. As you know it's been a rather hectic 24 hours. We understand that the double 'S' may look a it odd with the style although we will be looking into that when we work on a brand style for TowersStreet. Your comments have been noted though.

As Mike has said it's already up and working. I believe Joel got it all sorted in the early hours of the morning. Simply search for 'towersstreet' on Tapatalk, login and enjoy. :)

We have decided to go for TowersStreet Talk as this is eventually how we would like the site and forums to be structured/presented. So it would be something along the lines of:
TowersStreet - Talk
TowersStreet - Community
TowersStreet - Information
and so on...
 
Is this going to just be a forum/talk with news? Or will there be official information on the various aspects of Alton Towers like on TT?

Eventually we aim to have a website as well as forum. Here's the current homepage :p http://www.towersstreet.com/

We haven't specifically drawn extensive plans up yet. Although we are aiming to have a very community based website. The members are what makes up the community, not the brand name itself. So we aim to have a website that is built with the best interest for its members - and hopefully it will be an interactive website with the community too.

Hope that clears it up somewhat. It's still early days though. So keep an eye out!
 
What does this mean of the new TT site then? It'll be a shame to see the huge time and effort spent by Joel on what looked like a fantastic design to simply go overnight. Are you guys planning on letting Chris use it for the actual TT site, or in some way could it be brought over here?

I believe we have taken the new TT site with us. As it was not 'live' yet and is 100% the workmanship of Joel, Ian and James (Magrathea). I'm not quite sure what is happening with the site at the moment, I think we're keeping it, will review it soon and see if it can be used on TowersStreet or not.
 
That's good to hear. I was a tad concerned as to what would happen to all the content that was meant for the new site, especially given the ammount of effort that has gone in to writing it all. It would be awful if all that went to waste. Hope it all can be incorporated in to any new site.

I certainly would like to see a website linked with the forum too. Sooner rather than later, but not to soon that it feels rushed and undeveloped. It would help establish an identity and bring more visitors to the forum and ultimately new members which are the key towards any succesful future.
 
What has been done here in such a short time (less than 24 hours!) is fantastic, so long may it continue!

The addition of Tapatalk already is peachy, because now I can nerd-it-up on the go xD. The skeleton plans for the future of TS seem great too. Right now the site seems to be full of all the people who made TTF such a great place to post and read and with plans for a full website, it will encourage fresh users to join the website and help it grow.

These things take weeks and months but if we all stick it out I have no doubt that the team will create something special.
 
I think there's a bug with the thanks button - it is only showing the most recent user who thanked a post.
 
Congratulations on an incredibly bold move and one which you all know will involve much blood sweat and tears!

I wish you all the best for the future and hope to be part of the community in this already fast moving venture.

Well done and much thanks for sorting all this so well and so quickly.

Really not a fan of the name though, not only does the sS not look great it doesn't 'say' well either. But that's not to say I'd have come up with anything better literally over night!
