The worlds strangest dark ride?

Very much the UK's answer to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Is this still operating? :)

Am I seeing that wrong, or is it just travelling through a series of black corridors with ancient CRT's at the end playing random superhero footage?

This is why funfairs are so ridiculed.

The dark rides at most of them are laughable and embarrassing.

LOL! Pathetic.

In fairness, who the hell goes to fairs for the dark rides? When it comes to intense thrill rides they can't be beaten.

My word... Never has flying in a suspended Dodgems car at 1mph through an endless dark corridor with some knackered tellies and a meaningless siren been such a woeful attempt to 'be' an attraction...

I'm not sure if I'm attracted to or repelled by the notion of 'experiencing' this now.

LOL that foam cannon at the end just makes the ride :p.

Indeed, the whole dark ride/ghost train scene in the UK is one that really, to say the least "could do better". That said, many European rides are just as bad, with me going on an utterly terrible simulator in Dusseldorf which was dressed up as something snazzy and new on the outside but in reality was about 15 years old on the inside!

It's a shame really, because I'm sure a ride system like that could really make some money if a bit more thought was put into it. Sure £1.50 a time is nice for very little effort, but up the ante with some decent theming and you could charge 3 times that quite easily!

I'm sorry but I wouldn't pay £4.50 per ride for anything other than a direct recreation of Spiderman 3D. ;)

What the hell is THAT! Bwhahahaha!!!

That dark ride gives me an idea for my Martians on tour topic... ;)

The bloody hell was that?!!?!

Suspended bumper cars, old CRT tvs showing wrestling in the dark, and a foamy finish. Hilarious!

I've actually been on that...no, really. I think it was at Southport funfair. It was basically a few seconds of dark corridor with random Spiderman films playing on TVs and then the weird drop and foam cannon at the end.

Wow.
