The I Feel Happy Topic!

I've sat most of the day procrastinating when I should have been reading for an essay. Richey's a bit grumpy with me.

But you know what? I've been listening to a cappella and trad Christmas Carols, and I feel all cozy and fuzzy and warm, a little bit bleary eyed, and ever so tuned in to the amazing beauty that we're all capable of producing.

I've managed to pull myself just enough out of a very rough two weeks thanks to the nostalgic return of an old obsession I had throughout my pre-teen and teen years, which has me distracted quite easily hence a positive trumping the negatives I've had until now.

The obsession in question is Pokemon, particularly Gen I Yellow/Blue and Gen II Gold (my personal favourite). The strangest bit about this particular obsession, in comparison to many others I've flitted through, is that it helped me through some hard times back then and was a very active support for me for several years. It's quite nice on how that works!

I never in a million years thought this would happen, but I got to visit IAAPA today and (sort of) did a bit of industry networking. Shame I had to rush round and didn't get to see everything :(

Oh well! Guess I just have to head back tomorrow! :D

I've just booked tickets to see United play Shakhtar Donetsk at Old Trafford on the 10th of December. This will be only my second time seeing United play (the first was over ten years ago at what's now the King Power Stadium in Leicester, where United beat Leicester 4-1), and my first visit to Old Trafford. Excited is definitely the right word to use here. :D

I wrote an english piece worthy of an A* GCSE, I have 3 years until I actually do the GCSE. I'm proud!

Seen Day of the Doctor at the cinema yesterday. (Which was incredible) And hopefully, it won't be long until I can see Catching Fire. Can't wait! ;D

I had a lovely day at work today. I work in a special school for pupils with autism, in a class with four boys. The day overall was lovely, and the pupils were happier and calmer than usual, but there was a stand-out moment. In PE, we were using walking skis which promote communication, co-operation and so many other skills. We managed to get all four boys on them along with the PE teacher. It was amazing. The staff were in tears. I love my job, it's the best thing ever :D

Getting my Black Sabbath tickets and a good Sonisphere announcment has put me in a pretty good mood, considering its a Monday.

:D

Looking forward to starting to sort my life out by

- start back the gym
- quit smoking
- quit drinking
And get some more decent education so hopefully this will change my life for the better

Been offered a PR job at Sainsburys. Completely speechless as it's an area I really want to get into... :D After months of trying to find a PR job since finishing university, I finally have an opening.

On the subject of Sainsbury's, I'm now allowed to confirm that I have been made a permanent member of staff at my local store after spending the past few months on probation. :D

I have just had a email telling me that I have been accepted onto a St John Trainer course in January.

My PS4 arrived earlier today, I'm off to Old Trafford tomorrow evening with Dad, and I'm spending this weekend with some friends. Life can't get much better right now. :D

My shiny new iPhone 5S arrived on Thursday, less than 24 hours after payment was finally made on Wednesday. I haven't been able to sort things out with it yet, as I need a new SIM card, but I'll deal with that later when I'm in Birmingham. Speaking of which, bring on the weekend, which looks set to be fantastic! :D

Sorted out my accommodation for next year yesterday, have a house with a couple of course mates, put me in a good mood, just want the next 5 days over and done with and for the 20th to be here now!!
