CBeebies Land

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Well a few things, this looks like we are going to only have two seats compared to four and... Those cars have unregistered license plates with them both being called PAT 1

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Geeks: Cbeebies Land is rubbish and unimaginative.

Towers: Here's postman pat.

Geeks: We love life.

Ahh, what childhood memories does to you.

There's a parent in the back of the second van in the image, so I assume there will be two seats in the front for the kids and room in the back for adults.

You would assume so although they appear on the same level, hmm... That woman is like us.. letting the kid sit in the passenger seat so she can drive Postman Pat's van.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

That boy on the first van looks like me when I'm on Nemmy!

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Hooray! I can't think of a better theme to replace the tractors than Postman Pat. Childhood nostalgia or not, this does look like it could be genuinely good if done properly.

I just hope the 'vans' are as good quality as the tractors were - not just cheap plastic with vinyls stuck on them. Hopefully they will build some nice miniature brick houses around the circuit as well so kids can 'deliver' the post.

:)

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Excellent, fits in brilliantly, both floating on the stock market at about the same time!

The vans are filled with money being driven to Varney's/Camerons house btw.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

So will this be goodbye to Squirrel Nutty the character. I know he's not overly seen but he was a Towers original.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Thefatone makes a valid point.

Working in education, even in KS2, I see the relevance of CBeebies only too frequently. These brands are HUGE amongst younger children. Even older children with younger siblings recognise many of them.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

And it's not hard to understand why Dan! CBBC, CBeebies and CITV are the only free-to-air childrens channels available in the UK, with CBeebies the only one dedicated entirely to this age range...

Although many households have Sky/Virgin/BT et al these days, the majority of kids will be watching what is shown by the Beeb!

All there's left is Doodle Doo Derby and The Bookworm...

and Dung Heap :)

Love the Postman Pat graphics, really hope it looks like that in real life.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Really glad to see the inclusion of Postman Pat! A character that many can relate to.

:)

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Sensory Garden is the path between Dung Heap and the main Farm area, isn't it? That's what I understood at least.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

Assuming the Animals stay in ATH there is a lot of space in the paddock and chicken coup area. As for the Nutrons thing best guess is in the education centre and maybe taking the space the rabbits had too... Then the shop in the singing barn.

I must not be a Geek then. I defended the sheds and think that the retheming is great for the target group.

Nah, I was taking the p out of the fickle people.

I personally think this is a fantastic addition to the resort, spot on for what they should get and it'll bound to be a success and be a real challenger to Drayton Manor.

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land

I've just realised looking closely at the promo image for the rethemed Squirrel Nutty it will actually be called 'Tree Top Adventure' and not 'Get Set, Go' like previously mentioned.

:)
