No Limits 2

Eh, that's not fair. Looks like I'll be refreshing that page all day.

Nonetheless, happy NL2 day everyone!

Still not working. Anyway, has everyone checked the requirements?

Annoyingly, my laptop doesn't quite meet the recommended requirements - the processor is 0.2GHz short. Still, I'm seriously tempted to get it.

Just fired it up. Taking a look at the included tracks to start with. Here are two screenshots I took:

Just finished having a little play on the Demo, and I must say I'm very impressed so far. ;D

I must have spent a good 15 minutes just playing with the transfers alone. There is also a Semi-Automatic feature so you can play with the blocks whilst the station crew are still batching!

I'm having a blast with this thing, the amount of control in comparison to the first is unbelievable. Things like manual control over lift hill and drive tyres etc.

And what can i say. This is one gorgeous looking simulator. I'll have some more screenshots up if anyone wants em. :D

Laptop handles it, apart from graphics card. Installed some jarg software that blags it has Shader 3.0 or something, which loads nl2, but it runs very slowly, the wireframe is black, no nodes show and the sim doesn't really work at all.

So new graphics card needed, if not a whole new laptop.

Kill me.

I now have most of the weekend to spend my time on this beauty of a simulator! <3

Going to attempt to make my own coaster... this may not end well going from past experience with NL1. :p

Anyone tried the dive machine track that comes with it? When it loads it fails to find textures for the track, and the main spine is just white once the track has loaded.

It's fine on mine

Currently trying to build my first coaster, it's completely different from NL1 so it's going to be a learning curve.

Yep, I'm in the same position Dave. The editor and the commands have all changed so drastically there's barely any similarities between 1 and 2! I'm finding it really hard to get to grips with the new vertices style, and building track. I'm really missing Ctrl+i to make a section perfectly straight for lifts, etc :(

One thing I've found already that's a little annoying is that if you use the Dive Machine with a dual on/offload station (Think Blivvy but one loads while the other downloads), even though the two station pieces are next to each other you still get a set of comb gates between the two, which collide with the front train, even if the two platforms are synchronised to eliminate the need for a second set.

Would be handy if there was a tick box just to turn the gates off on each station segment, or if there is has anyone managed to find it? :p

Hmmm... The same thing also happens when I load Hydra, yet in the simulator it looks fine. Maybe it's Windows 8.1 that doesn't agree with it? It doesn't agree with the first NL either.

How long does the download take? Mine keeps switching from 8 hours left to 48 hours left. :(

The demo took a good 2-3 hours or so first thing this morning. As for the final version mine was coming down the line at a whopping 10-20kbps! Expect it to take the best part of a day. The servers are either rubbish or really getting hammered today :p

I can see it being like it for a couple of days really. As we start to wind down for the night other parts of the world are usually just coming online, and there's certainly been interest and appeal from all over it seems.

Downloaded it and spent all day with it. It looks amazing and it's full of similarly amazing features. But...

I hate the editor. I got the hang of it quickly but it's such a fafftacular process compared to NL1, it really ruins the whole thing for me. The side and top views all look too similar to tell apart, there's too much grey! Also, I have a laptop that's just above the minimum requirements and it will *barely* run at around 8fps... hmmm. Not buying it just yet I don't think, at least not until some updates come out for it.
