10 coasters before you die

- Banshee :D
- Helix
- EGF
- Black Mamba
- Oz' Iris
- Maverick
- TTD
- Blue Fire
- Silver Star (yep, not been to EP)
- X2

Woodies not for me. Clearly :)

- i305 (shouldn't be on the list at all, but Intamin let me down :()
- X2
- Tatsu
- Helix
- Balder
- Eagle's Fortress
- Banshee
- any Mega Lite
- Olympia Looping
- The Voyage

Until riding them last year; TTD, KK, El Toro (SFGAd), Bizarro (SFNE) and Maverick would all have been on that list.

Not in a particular order but

- Piraten
- Montu
- Behemoth
- Matterhorn Bobsleds
- Skyrush
- Tatsu
- ISpeed
- Maverick
- Batman - The Dark Knight - Six Flags New England
- Space Fantasy The Ride - Universal Studios Japan

That was a lot harder than I thought!!

It's really thrilling to see a coaster you've actually been on top everybody's list, X2! :D

Also, good to see Matterhorn Bobsleds making a few lists, as it absolutely should. It's superb.

1. Boulder Dash - Lake Compounce
2. The Beast - King's Island
3. El Toro - SFGA
4. The Voyage - Holiday World
5. Eagle's Fortress - Everland
6. Dodonpa - Fuji-Q
7. The Raven - Holiday World
8. Mountain Coaster - Knight Valley
9. T-Express - Everland
10. Outlaw Run - Silver Dollar City

So mostly American woodies! I thought about Maverick... but there are others I'm more curious about. Having ridden Blue Fire and stuff, I know what Maverick will be like. Great, don't get me wrong, but coasters like Outlaw Run for example, I have no idea what they're like.

Blue Fire and Maverick are very different ride experiences. Blue Fire is graceful and seems to almost float round the layout, whilst Maverick is all about extremely rapid transitions.

In no particular order:

- Maverick
- iSpeed
- Verbolten
- Expedition GeForce
- Banshee
- Sky Scrapper (never actually going to happen)
- Piraten
- Helix
- Katun
- Leviathan

That was really hard! Balder very nearly made it onto the list also.

I also really want to go on a Huss Jump2 before I die, that is essential!!

:)

Eagles Fortress closed years ago, so if we're allowed defunct rides, my top 10 would pretty much be that and Crystal Beach Cyclone fives times each.

Isn't Eagle's Fortress SNBO though? Surely it could operate again, unless I'm missing something.

In no particular order:

Space Fantasy - Universal Studios Japan

Intmidator 305 - Kings Dominion (was closed when I went to KD, boohoo)

Helix - Liseberg

The Voyage - Holiday World

Matterhorn Bobsleds - Disneyland

Piraten - Djurs Sommerland (or clone)

Leviathan - Canada's Wonderland

Pyrenees - Parque Espana

X2 - Six Flags Magic Mountain (although I acknowledge I will probably hate the ride)

T-Express - Everland

*special mention to Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio, which I would love to include on the basis of, well... that it's Steel Eel.

It's SBNO. There are posters by it which were spotted last year which show the park's intentions to get it back open. Whatever they had planned for that space is no longer going ahead, unless work on EF fails.

Oooooo, the dream team of coasters. Mine, in no particular order:

Millennium Force
Riddlers Revenge
Space Fantasy (Universal Studios Japan)
The Voyage
Hades
Mountain Flyer (Knight Valley)
Leviathan
Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars (Hong Kong Disneyland)
iSpeed
Alpengeist

Of course I don't expect everyone's opinions to be the same, but out of interest (& astonishment), for those who didn't include Helix or Banshee in their list, why not? Especially how Blufi & Nemesis are regarded on here & the world stage.

Helix has/will have an amazing layout using one of the finest & highly regarded types of hardware, multiple launches, lapbars(?), amazing landscaping/scenery interaction, excellent selection of elements and has already justifiably promised to be one of the WORLDS finest coaster experiences... ( from Mr Mack himself. )

Banshee, well, arguably THE best coaster type of any manufacturer (the B&M Invert) being re-designed to include never-before-seen elements of this coaster type. This is also one of the finest layouts I have even seen before and will include bucket loads of positive & negative G's, a smooth but forceful ride similar to our one and only Nemesis? Just a damn sight longer, faster, steeper, higher etc.

At least we can rule out that they were not included because someone has already ridden... ;)

Again, I completely respect people opinions, but would be interested to know why people don't want to ride them/are not overly interested in riding them?

I'm also interested in why people prefer the look of Tatsu over Sky Scrapper / Starry Sky Ripper? :p Anyway...

Current results:

1st place: Helix, Maverick
2nd place: Banshee, Eagle Fortress, X2
3rd place: El Toro, Outlaw Run, Tatsu

If anyone has since changed their post to replace a coaster, could you say what you add what ride you've taken off and what you've replaced it with? So far I haven't added any changes that people may have made to their lists.

Yay for pointless fun! :p

I'm honestly disappointed by the lack of Atlantis Adventure love. Its the coaster that, for me, is the closest thing to a perfect cross between thrill and theming.

Personally I don't think anything that's not open yet/SBNO should be included - at least given a separate category! They're not in my list for that very reason :). They'll be part of my dream team when I can watch a POV... albeit I expect some hideous background noise from our favourite POV provider, just to ruin the fun...

Thing is with Banshee, without experiencing the new trains, it is just another (if slightly HUGE) B&M invert, which usually in America aren't amazing in my experience...

With Helix, it's so close to the UK I would guess many already know they'll be riding it, I see this as a sort of list of rides which you want to ride but can't in the near future...

Erm, I have no idea for me, as I seem to have ridden most of the highly wanted ones... I guess my list would be:

- Tower of Terror (Gold Reef City)
- Takibashi (Fuji-Q)
- Alpengeist (purely because it spited me on my visit)
- Mountain Coaster (Knight Valley)
- Grizzly Mountain Mine Carts (HK Disney)
- The Voyage (Holiday World)
- Gravity Max (Vekoma Tilt Coaster)
- Space Fantasy (Universal Japan)
- Any of those Togo Pipelines
- Dodonpa

I'm not interested in Banshee much at all. Just another drawn out B&M. Drop>dive loop>loop>0g... seen it all before. An inline twist and oversized batwing aren't enough to make it particularly more appealing than any other.
