It saddens me to think that there's a whole generation of kids who have probably never seen a phone with a dial. People like Georgia will never know the frustration of having your dad fit a physical locking device to the one and only phone in the house!
 
And who can forget dialing a long number, then getting one of the last numbers wrong and having to start all over again.... which may take a few minutes lol!

And hey how about the old phone boxes, with the large old grey unit inside, where you rest your 5p on the slot, and the second someone answers, you had to ram the coin into the slot before you got cut off!
 
5p ?? !! when ah were a lad it were only 2p to ring your mum and tell her you where having tea at yer mate's house.
 
I'm 30 and despite visiting florida at 13, never got on a coaster until I was 22. I lost my V plates on shockwave and havent looked back since. I still havent ridden Blivvy though as I'm a big scaredy pants. Love the Smiler, Nemmy and Air though!
Only tend to visit the Towers at scarefest these days, and on halloween last year dropped to one knee and proposed to my other half in the bandstand by the AT hotel lake.

Hope your partner said yes. maybe you should have done it on blivvy and got 2 nervous moments out of the way at the same time :)

I'd spent all day coaxing her onto the right hand side of all the rides so she wouldnt notice the ring box in my left hand pocket. It was all going well until she decided she didnt want to sit on the 'outside' for our first ride on the smiler. But I got away with it and she was non the wiser until a few hours later.
 
Aw congratulations - good job the ring never fell out of your pocket!
 
I remember when I proposed to Kelpie, she later told me that she had noticed a ring box sized bulge in my pocket. Anyway, congrats!

But in answer to the original question. Age has nothing to do with it. I may be the oldest here but I usually give as good as I get.
