Given how she's been treating her employees this year, isn't that just the staff room?

I'm not suggesting it has the absolute insane airtime of Magnum. Just - some, sometimes!

It does, unfortunately, heavily depend on the wind speed with The Big One as to how well it runs and how fast it crests each hill. That would go some way to explaining people having such different experiences.

Yeah, it's transmitted from the big glitter ball on the seafront opposite the park. During the brief period where that glitter ball was removed to be refurbished, Big One had no airtime. Then, when it came back, so did the airtime!

Or, people enjoy different things in coasters and have their own valid favourites? Both times I came back from my trips over to America I thought, that's The Big One ruined now. Utterly ruined! But then I got back on it, and enjoyed it just as much as I did before! And I make no apologies...

Totally disagree I'm afraid. I find The Big One very thrilling and exhilarating! It rattles along for 2 minutes at great speed, around what I find to be a very interesting and varied layout. I enjoy every aspect of it; how it rushes over the banked hills, the sensation of speed you get being...

I've ridden three B&M hyper coasters; Nitro, Diamondback and Raging Bull. I vastly prefer The Big One to any of those. It has raucousness, intensity, character and an insane first drop, whereas all of the above three coasters I found to be an absolute snooze-fest. The Big One sits firmly in...

Once, legend has it. (It has - I've ridden it this season - but I think that's the only day I've seen it operating this year!)

I'm convinced this is a Pleasure Beach insider.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2022 Discussion

I visit Pleasure Beach, to be clear, but I've drastically reduced my number of visits this year. This is a direct result of the experience offered by Pleasure Beach being much worse than in previous years; as a consumer, I have to weigh up whether a product is worth the cost involved in...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2022 Discussion

Drayton Manor has done very well this summer. Paultons Park consistently does well. Pleasure Beach has a bigger and arguably better ride offering than either of those parks yet constantly under-performs. It is their responsibility to provide and market a product that is appealing enough to...

Swing has been open a few times this year - but it's a rarity.

    Oakwood Discussion

Yeah that's true, although you can look at Alton Towers and that's in the middle of nowhere yet attracts customers from all over. I guess ultimately Oakwood needs a massive investment into the park and into marketing, but no-one's willing to make that, so it plods?

    Oakwood Discussion

I agree that Oakwood's location is challenging but there is also an opportunity there; it's the only theme park in the whole of Wales. There has to be a market for that, surely?

I have to agree regarding Megafobia. It's one of my favourite rides in the UK, a truly fantastic coaster, but goodness me the condition it was in a couple of months ago when I rode was appalling. It needs the same sort of hefty re-tracking work that the Grand National has had. Speed makes me...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2022 Discussion

There is a second tweet where Amanda essentially attacks a customer for asking for an update. It's very poor form, given the context that Pleasure Beach have given no update to the hundreds of people going through their gates this summer, essentially lying to them with the statement that it...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2022 Discussion

I am once again shaking my head in frustration at the misleading tactics Pleasure Beach are using to con their customers. Yesterday, I booked two e-tickets for the weekend, as a 10pm close was advertised for Saturday on their opening hours and booking pages. I went back on today and...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2022 Discussion

It's very confusing. The opening hours page still shows 10pm; https://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/opening-times-prices/ However the bookings page (which you don't always see - if you book *from* the opening hours page you skip this) shows 9pm...
