I've just watched that and I'll accept anything done to it except making it into an IP based or Ghostbusters ride. Please no. No IPs on their main rides, that will just cheapen the park and ruin its uniqueness and quirkiness we all love and would make the park become "just another theme park...
When I was there the other week, winds were 20ish mph with gusts above 30mph. They were sending Smiler trains round every so often and announcing on the tannoy to not group around the entrance while the trains are going round as they are purely for testing and warming purposes, not a sign the...
In some cases they don't want to work, especially if they get the same same or similar level of income via benefits. And that leads back to increasing hourly rates to make work more attractive than doing nothing.
I was born in the mid 70s and I had never been on a holiday abroad until I was about 30. I hadn't even been on a plane until I was 25. And that wasn't because my family were poor, more that the cheaper foreign holidays that are around now just didn't exist in the 80s. So summer holidays to...
That is true to a degree, but a friend of mine's husband and his mate (both not been to Towers for years) went on Tuesday and got on everything multiple times by close at 4pm. Almost everything was walk on or single-figure queue times. And knowing them, they would've stopped at some point for...
As someone mentioned on the MAP page - could be this be a result of the staff shortages they currently have and to a degree, the lower visitor numbers there has been this year so far? (and according to her profile, Gemma Richardson works at Towers)
It wasn't too bad, definitely not as hard as the Wicker Man one because there are less dark pieces. But there are many pieces look similar because of the track swirling all over it.
The puzzle is good quality and pieces fit together well but some are a little loose in places so I had to stick...
...and 5 weeks later, puzzle completed, framed and on the wall! The puzzle is a little smaller than a 50x70cm frame so I had to buy a custom mount to hide the edges - but I think that finishes it off really well.
The floating seating area is looking good. Towers certainly look like they've upped their game this year! (pics from TPWW)
And the Towers Street stage looks impressive:
I've been on it a few times this season and not noticed it out of sync - if it was, it wasn't that noticeable. The trains come into the station a lot faster than last season and in this clip you can clearly hear the sound effects kicking in before the trains are in place:
The best way to have a "I don't want to watch the preshow" option is to do what I've seen them do this year - a mother and her 2 young girls were held at the front of the batching room and when the show in front finished, they were allowed straight through to the station, then the rest of us...
Looks like the bar area (presumably the area with the pontoon) is on the Towers side of the lake and complete with a stage for entertainment. That will be really good if Food Street is in the same place as last year too.
Have the stages gone then? I was expecting them to be used for Mardi Gras along with the structures from last year seeing as they looked pretty decent stages
When I part-ex'd my car for a brand new one in January (which is still on order!), they told me that if you want a new Audi, you could be waiting for up to 18 months! All due to the chip shortage.
So I can fully understand the delay to Hex opening if it is down to something electronic that...
