    Drayton Manor Park

I was there with my family today. Shockwave did indeed break down on the lift hill (blue train). It was a standard evacuation and the ride was going around the track later in the day (sadly I was unable to ride as I had the littlies). If I was visiting as a thrill seeker today though I wouldn't...

    Drayton Manor Park

Does anyone know when they are going to get Storm Force 10 open this season? How can the planned maintenance be taking so long? The bridge repair looks finished now. Also, on a lesser important note, Pandemonium is still closed too!

    Major Ride Closures 2016

It is ashame they have removed the Flume as all theme parks (IMO) need a flume ride. However, of all the SBNO's this season at least we can see the reason behind it & it's not just cost cutting. SW8 looks great but let's hope we see a new modern flume ride at the park in the near future.

    Drayton Manor Park

It's a great event & well done DMP for expanding it & giving the choice of seeing Santa. Only wish they would open a couple of adult rides for us Dads (& Mums). Surely Maelstrom &/or Apocalypse could open. Will look forward to this.

    2014: General Discussion

Because at 9:55 you can get to your next non ERT ride before the masses & it's like a bonus early ride. Better for the masses though. Shame no kiosks were open though until go e 10:00 so there really was nothing for people to do.

    2014: General Discussion

The new system worked well in my opinion. Guests were free to roam the park until 10:00 & queue for the rides. X-Sector & Cbeebies land had manned staff at the fences checking tickets. The X-Sector queue for non ERT users was started at the entrance & was using the path up to the towers. Was...

    CBeebies Land

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land Those are the HooHa's (I think). One of the many weird & wonderful characters from the show. They are giant inflatable bouncy castle things & looked exactly like they should.

    "I've never been on..."

I have never been on Sub Terra (not a fan of scare mazes so won't ride due to the ending), Ripsaw or Frog Hopper. Everything else I have been on.

    Offers, Deals and Vouchers

The sun offer is definitely happening ths year. I received an email from sun+ in early February stating tue offer would be back in early March (exact dates not announced). I know sun+ customers can claim their ticket without collecting tokens.

    Extrordinary Golf: What Should Happen?

It's one of my big problems with AT. The golf is a must do attraction for me and my friend and we take it very seriously (far too seriously really). It's a great course with some challenging holes which make it better than any other course we play on. It desperately needs lots of TLC. It's...

    CBeebies Land

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land I would love a Chuckle Brother's attraction but unfortunately this is on CBBC, not Cbeebies. :(

    The Warehouse Ride

I 100% agree. I've always felt that golden nuggets gets a bad press but it is a good ride. The only problem (as with a lot of rides at DMP) is the lack of maintenance. A bit of tlc wouldn't go a miss. If AT insist on a shoot 'em ride it should be like this but I would love to see the Haunted...

You Know You're Addicted to Alton Towers (and tst) When....

We did something similar at our wedding 8 years ago except all the tables were named after AT rides. At the time AT made a pack of little chocolates for all their big rides (Nemesis, Oblivion, Air, Spinball, Rita to name a few). We brought enough packs so everyone at the wedding got a choc of...

TH13TEEN - Was It Worth It?

I love Th13teen. It offers something different to any other ride in the park and is great for older kids who aren't ready for Nemesis etc but have out grown RMT. True, the original advertising was awful and clearly marketed at the wrong audience, but now it's bedded in it is one of the best...
