I wonder if theyll only be on during darker hours? or maybe they just had some technical problem?

Personally on my 6 rides this year, on all trains, none of them were the type of bad i dread, basically all of them were rattly and made some weird noises, but my head survived the last few inversions every ride😂

I thought the same, when my little brother asked if it would reopen, one of the ride hosts quite harshly said it definitely wouldn't reopen. this is the photo i've seen a few times on my feed, if true, they're gonna have to try and sort this issue out fairly quick!!

the runaway mine train front car detached from the rest of the train in the tunnel, the ride area was completely cut off with barriers on wednesday when i went past. so that'll be gone for a while

it had a "refurb" not long ago tbf, all improvements and replacements should have been done during this time, clearly the issues they're having are occurring due to quick temporary fixes rather than a proper replacement, kinda dissapointing, however, we do now have 3 other dark rides on park so...

anyone else noticed the second dive loop laughing effect not being on this season? has it been turned back on yet or do you reckon it's a broken speaker sort of deal??! i remember the corkscrew? (loop before the vertical lift) laughing effect being off at the start of another recent season but...

do u reckon the trains have had extra work done to run in the rain? or just general waiting on parts/behind on maintenance sort of deal??

because theyve left it for so long, it needs a proper clean, like close it and clean it sort of thing tbf. and it needs more than a jet wash in needs contact cleaning now so like scrubbing and stuff along with replacing nets and potentially putting a new queue floor in with a slight angle to it...

in general the smilers operations have been on the worse side for many years but with the baggage hold return AND running 4 trains, AND some other coasters not running on full capacity at the moment, it puts the smiler quite high on throughput compared to other rollercoasters!! good to see the...

personally think that it being human error makes it equally as bad, its the humans who are supposed to prevent it, not cause it!!

yep i remember my sister coming of crying from roughness a few years back. The track is the problem with that inversion, the trains just don't help.

yeah definetely but on the weekends there is a need especially the opening hours aren't great and it's busy

Just thought i'd say i'm glad to see the smiler has ran 4 trains this season. watched a few blogs where all trains were being ran. hopefully this remains the way this year! with the baggage hold we could see throughput actually being much better this season!

these two logos have been sat in the maintenance shed for at least a few years, i remember seeing these along with a few others in the 2020 opening day documentary

tbf they installed a lot of the smilers new speakers back in 2021 the exact same way, they look very obvious and out of theme next to the rapids. they won’t have to worry about water on them though as there is no splashes on the rapids haha
