Sorry to boost this thread! I booked tickets using a Seabrooks Crisps voucher but no longer have the bag of crisps with the code, I don't imagine they expect everyone to carry an opened bag of crisps with them to the park but i'm worried they'll ask for it and I won't have it? I do have a...
Quick route! I can imagine that stays pretty quiet.
I come off the motorway after Stoke-On-Trent and head toward Uttoxeter & then up through Cheadle and Farley lane.
Sometimes i'll go right at Cheadle and go through Alton village, traffic dependant.
Exactly what happened on my last visit (granted it was July 2019, but Corona stopped me visiting after that)
From Cheadle, through to Alton village was about 20 minutes, and then the road leading up to the main entrance was easily 45 minutes not including the parking and then monorail. I've...
In partial defence of some of those people, the last few times I've visited I've arrived at 10:00am-10:30am purely based on how bad the traffic getting into Alton and through Cheadle is. I could be 15 minutes away at 9:15am but I still wouldn't get there, parked and into the park until gone...
Completely agree, once Rita & Th3rteen are done there's nothing worth hanging about for.
I loved Submission in the X-Sector so something like that could have worked (but not bright blue, needs to match the gloomy theme) but even the Waltzers at the minute are a good addition to the area, I...
Is anyone going over the next few days at all, do you think it's going to be busy?
I've seen a lot of things on twitter about a wait getting in to the car park, someone tweeted they'd got there at 10 and they were still queuing to get in and park at 11:00
I think Duel's area lacks the most of all areas. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Duel literally the only ride in Gloomy Wood? Other than the stalls and things they have there, there is no actual ride. I think an indoor coaster that has some sort of 'horror' element to it could be a good idea...
Just on the topic of something new, out of interest what do you think could go in order for this new one to arrive? Obviously The Flume was axed to make way for Wicker Man and based on space in the park, rides that perhaps aren't as up to scratch as they used to be and areas that need a few more...
If Smiler was a must, would you recommend jumping in the queue as close to 9:30 as you could, or just going to the Dark Forest and chancing Smiler later in the day?
I've noticed that Spinball has been a lot quieter the last week than I've ever seen it before. Which seems unusual as it's...
Thanks all !! I think walking is the best option at the minute, there's 3 of us all under 25 so I'm sure we'll make it! :D
On another point - queue times are looking really good today, the highest is Smiler at 60 minutes. Wicker is only on 40 (but it could have just re-opened) and all the rest...
Thank you !!
I feel like if the monorail is above 30 minutes it's worth walking. I'm more concerned about how hot it's going to be and if I'll be able to cope walking that far:D
Ah perfect - if it's not too much hassle can you tell me from the monorail station how I go about walking to the park? I've only ever took the monorail so I have absolutely no idea which directions to go.
Based on timing it's looking like I'll get to the car park for anywhere between 9:00 and 9:30, I'm hoping the monorail isn't too busy either.
Out of interest, I've never done it before - how long is the walk from the monorail station to the park? If the que is like 30 minutes is it worth...
I know Gangster Granny is the new ride, but why is it on 2+ hours near enough every day? I don't think I could justify waiting that long for an indoor, simulator type ride.
Thanks! Remember sun cream, I think it's gonna be a hot one! :p
I'm thinking head straight to Rita & Thirteen - I'll take a look at smiler on the way through and if the early morning queue isn't too long (under 40 minutes) I'll probably jump in that. From Dark Forest back to Spinball and then...
I think it's important to remember that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
General public are never going to follow arrows and stand 2 metres away especially children that are under 10 or so, they have no concept of it and I doubt the parents will challenge it. Staff...
As every week day from next week on is still at 4pm, what is the likeliness of those being extended? Especially the Friday.
