[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation

sorry but Galactica has no theming that's likely why 12 year olds find it easier to understand.. atleast nemesis feels somewhat immersive even in its current state.

Popular food & drink trends you don’t get

Milk alternatives are definitely a weird one, I try to be flexible as I drink a lot of coffee (particularly latte's) and find i'm a little sensitive to cow's milk in large amounts. But there's something about a soya or oat milk latte that just tastes a little.. off..

    2021: General Discussion

Just on the note of ride breakdowns and lack of passes, when i visited last week Spinball emergency stopped whilst we were on the ride. Myself and my friends were just coming onto the last break run however there were two other cars out including one right at the top of the lift hill. Sat there...

    2021: General Discussion

Agree with this! The main issue at the moment seems to be the parking, apparently it took my friends almost 45 minutes from Alton village to finally parking up..

    2021: General Discussion

I visited yesterday with a group of friends, i arrived on park around 9.15am and got straight on the monorail and into the park by 9.30. a few of our group however didn't arrive until 10am and it took them over an hour to park up and get into the park. It was busy but opening was extended by 2...

    2021: General Discussion

Saying you respect the opinion, but then going on to dismiss is like when someone starts a sentence with 'no offence'. You know they're about to say something offensive.

    The Alton Towers Dungeon

Whilst Sharkbait Reef is technically a midway, its not an upcharge attraction and the theming was done to a much better standard It also fits in well with the area.. The dungeons were a last minute decision to try and fill a gap.

    Scarefest 2021

The batching wasn't great on any of the mazes really, social distancing does raise a few issues mainly around capacity and waits but hopefully it will be much less of an issue this year than last.

    Scarefest 2021

I actually think Toxic Junkyard will return, it was a well received maze. Also with it being outdoors and the fact COVID wont have fallen off the face of the earth i think they might need it.

    Mardi Gras & Oktoberfest 2021

Same here! In recent years I've visited once at the beginning of the season and usually once over Scarefest but i think there may be a few more visits on the cards this year! Really nice to have some positive additions and it finally feels as if they're making an effort to get people back.

    2020: General Discussion

I don't necessarily think they need to apologise.. they are only stating about the t&c's to cover as people will still no doubt complain even though they've been pre-warned.

    Scarefest 2020

My 14 year old brother did the mazes with us this year and no one questioned him so i'd say just go for it! As long as she is comfortable with them.

    Scarefest 2020

It's really interesting to see all of the different views on the mazes, personally the only maze i enjoyed was Toxic Junkyard as it was the only maze i actually encountered any scares. The attic was frankly awful, i was with a group of 4 people and we only saw one actor throughout the whole...

    2020: General Discussion

I believe your support bubble is one other household so as long as it only your household and theirs then yes. But as per the image above from AT themselves, they're advising to not visit if in tier 3 and to revalidate tickets for 2021.

    Scarefest 2020

I don't necessarily think they have sold out, more that they were popular so perhaps they are trying to push sales for earlier slots first to try and avoid any capacity issues later in the evening.

    Scarefest 2020

I would suggest that they have been popular so they have removed them to encourage people to book earlier slots. If queues are bad (which they may well be due to social distancing) then you may struggle complete all mazes before park close.

    Scarefest 2020

As said above, i would imagine the containers are mainly being used as a boundary for the maze as well as theming.

    2020: General Discussion

I'm pretty sure it is specific to spinball, am i right in saying you can't only have 1 person in a car anyway and due to social distancing they cant put a single rider with another group?

    Scarefest 2020

Are those the containers usually used for Sub-Species? I'm assuming that will be a no go this year due to social distancing and being unable to control groups crossing paths.

    Scarefest 2020

We used the tickets for troops, which are provided by the Sun, for Scarefest last year! I think you can use any as the general admission price doesn't change.
