I've just booked myself in for a birthday stay in February. I'll be interested to see if it's as bad as people on here say it is. I've stopped in the hotel three times, and everytime I've had a great experience (food included).

Totally agree. I have so many happy memories there from chilhood, teenage and adult years. It's a very special place in that regard.

I mean it's all down to opinion. The Nemesis is still an amazing ride, I just prefer the Smiler.

Smiler is a much better ride than Nemesis.

Does anyone know if the bus transport from Stafford station is still running this year? I'm looking to book up a trip soon, but I would need the bus as I don't drive. Also, do I need to buy bus tickets in advance, or can i pay on the day? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I would love to see them start this ride from scratch with a complete overhaul. The house and outside area already looks great, and could look even better with a bit of investment. Are people on here confident that could happen one day?

Could you elaborate more on your views of it falling into disrepair and it doing damage to the heritage?

I also think accomplishing the building of the great rides they have with all the restrictions they are up against (height, noise etc).
