Yeah Thorpe Park have spoken about there being a cap / maximum number of RAP users quite a few times on their passholder group, so I'd guess that whoever said differently is probably mistaken...
Yeah, to be fair I’ve never seen the Single Rider queue that full before, it was past where it splits into single rider / FT / RAP. I guess that’s what happens when only there are 3 open coasters to choose from!
Funniest thing was they actually cleared the main queue first and sent 2 trains of...
Hate to be so negative but availability and operations were just terrible today. Got on 2 major coasters in the 6-7 hours I was there.
Lowlight of the entire day was waiting just shy of 2 hours for Smiler in the SRQ, only to get to the front and have the staff members joking with everyone on...
Inferno was testing today! Hopefully a good sign that it'll be reopening soon, and surely means that the "issue with the track" rumours can't be true?
Also went on Ghost Train for the 2nd time and enjoyed it a lot more than the first time, mainly because we did it towards the end of the day...
For the other coasters it doesn't matter too much but best advice is leave Swarm until later - because of its location it gets swamped when the park opens and as Alix mentioned it's much quieter towards the end of the day.
Stealth first is a good choice especially as Inferno probably won't be...
Pretty much everything is open but from their ride availability page looks like Laser Raiders & Scarab Bouncers are closed towards the beginning of Brick or Treat if you're going then. They've started doing annual maintenance at various times around the year to keep the park largely open for...
That is a great idea and something that is (unfortunately) definitely needed for Thorpe. They definitely seem to be taking on board feedback a lot more these days which is good!
I've seen people leave at that point when it was DGBT due to not being tall enough, and the queue setup hasn't...
I’d imagine there would still probably be some guests who ride once when the VQ is already full for the day and want to ride again, so choose to pay as their only option for another ride (this is probably exactly what they’re hoping for)
This really does seem crazy from a guest satisfaction point of view - is their response to the many complaints about not being able to join the virtual queue seriously taking free slots away and replacing them with £12pp ones?
The availability for the Fastrack / One Shot is separate (I...
Had a great day at Thorpe today. Operations were really good across all the rides and so much better than my last visit. Was good to see Colossus back open and it was riding pretty well too :)
Ghost Train didn’t end up opening until after 2pm which meant it was only open for about 3 hours...
Virtual queue appears to have hit its first major flaw - the Reserve and Ride system has completely crashed and hasn't recovered since 9:45 when it was supposed to open. This means no one on park can book for MM, guests who have pre-paid for a reserve and ride package cannot redeem anything and...
Honestly not sure what was going on over at Rumba, as Stealth carried on running the entire time (which contradicts what it says on the website posted above). Understandably everyone seemed baffled when they announced it was closed due to high winds, whilst watching Stealth go round fully...
Thorpe was absolutely rammed today, and didn’t help that operations were pretty dire across the board. Ended up queuing just under 2 hours for Inferno at an advertised 40 minutes and our friends who were there ended up queuing pretty much 3 hours for Swarm (which was on 1 train) at an advertised...
Hi Matt!
I went to Orlando last summer and it was absolutely amazing, so I'm sure you'll have a great time too.
When I went, Hagrid was definitely still an insanely popular ride - pretty sure it got up to 180 minutes in Early Park Admission (which is before the park is even open to non-hotel...
Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but it seems both Thorpe Park and Alton will be switching to a Reserve and Ride system next year
Edit: It's fake, apologies ;-;
