    Quick Questions

Yeah we normally go at the start of the holidays but on a weekend due to work etc and never find it too bad really, but this year is a bit different as will be during the week instead

Thanks. I realise it will be busy due to being school holidays instead but anyway.

    Quick Questions

Hi, I know July is always rammed with school trips during the week. Does anyone know when this usually ends? My children break up on Tues 25th and was thinking of taking them on the 27th (Thurs), will it still be busy with school trips or do you think they will have finished by then?

    Favorite ride Branding

For the names alone, Nemesis and Oblivion are perfect fits for the rides.

    Formula One

Just to be clear, I'm no fan of Red Bull or Max Verstappen. There are a lot of people saying Max should be thrown out of the championship last year, I am saying it is impossible to know what the punishment should be when we still don't really know what the crime was. If catering is the cause...

    Formula One

Again, I would say it is important to reserve judgement until the facts are known and actually there is every chance it is false to say that they overspent and that is why they had the fastest car. The quotes from Wolff, Binotto and Hamilton over the weekend would certainly like people to...

However, they did not know this at the time the punishment was given as it was before the end of the season so it could easily have been (and was at that point looking likely) that one of their drivers won the championship. At the moment we simply don't know enough facts in this case to say...

    Formula One

I think the more comparative example is McLaren in 2007. They were found guilty of possessing Ferrari documents, which could have given them a competitive advantage (we will never know to what extent this is the case). It could also be argued that last year, overspend may have given Red Bull a...

    Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

I don’t agree with this for Space Mountain. I found the new trains to be very comfortable and the ride felt much smoother as a result. Though I may be slightly biased as Paris’ Space Mountain is one of my favourite rides. Due to the darkness and unexpected turns I think a lap bar only would make...

Sorry but how can you know this? We don’t know the amount by which RB overspent or in what areas.

Universal Orlando (Studios/IOA/Epic Universe) : General Discussion

I was at DLP last month and think Avengers Campus is much better than most people seem to think - it is well designed, full of detail and bursting with life, and the Spider-Man ride is really good fun and don’t really see why it has gotten criticism (other than the “upgrades” you can get in the...

Universal Orlando (Studios/IOA/Epic Universe) : General Discussion

This is exactly why it is a complete win for Universal. By keeping hold of the license they stop Disney being able to use the world's most popular film franchise in the world's most popular theme park resort.

Cleverest uses of illusions within theme parks?

When I first rode Star Tours aged 7, couldn’t believe it was just a simulator. Went on it 4 times last week and still think it is the best old fashioned flight sim out there for the sensation of movement.

    Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

Had 4 days at Disneyland Paris staying on site at Newport Bay Club. The main Parc Disneyland looked immaculate - the 30th Anniversary celebrations gave it a party atmosphere and everything seemed to have improved from my last visit in terms of snacks, overall food quality, character...

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

I completely disagree - the walk from Sea Life through Katanga Canyon-Gloomy Woods-Forbidden Valley is the best area of the park aesthetically, and is the closest ATR has to proper theme park escapism, whereas Dark Forest, X-Sector etc feel a lot more like just rides plonked down wherever they...

Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

Yes I agree it is better to have a test seat than not as for those where the seat may be uncomfortable can test it before queuing for the ride. However, I think the impact on throughput would be negligible and there are so many other factors that have a bigger impact is all.

Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

Out of interest, how does a test seat benefit throughputs? Less than 1% of riders would use the test seat anyway and even those that do, how would this mean restraints don’t need to be rechecked?

    Formula One

Not to mention how often Bottas’ strategy was so often compromised compared to Lewis, even when he’d stuck it on pole and was leading.

Your favourite MCBR exits on roller coasters?

Any of Spinball Whizzer's, leaving the block sections are the best bits of the ride IMO.

    Oblivion: General Discussion

Was at AT this weekend and can confirm on both days rear left (as you sit on it) end 2-3 seats left empty on every single shuttle. Also saw a shuttle wouldn’t leave station (I was sitting in the shuttle behind) because of some sort of error and the ride hosts asked 4 people to swap seats. It...
