    Plopsaland Stay

We stayed in a really nice Airbnb in De Panne itself, it came with parking, was right on the beach and was only a 7 minute tram ride to the front gate. Meant we could cut down costs by cooking dinner/prep lunches, and managed a sea swim when we arrived.

    Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

It’s a real shame, there were certainly plans for expansions when the park was being designed; Little Mermaid in Fantasyland, additional Indy in Adventureland, Splash Mountain/Geyser Mountain in Frontierland. But the economic issues it had at opening, the lack of thrilling attractions for the...

    PortAventura: General Discussion

Last time I went, we found some discount vouchers on the back of a packet of Chupa Chups in a Salou supermarket. May be worth keeping an eye out for those if you plan to wait until you arrive on park.

Is there anything I should know before going to Phantasia Land for the first time?

I visited for the first time back in November and had an excellent time. No means a veteran but happy to share my experiences! We went Friday-Monday, with 2 nights in Matamba and 1 night in Cologne. In the hotels we only ate in Restaurant Zambesi, and had cocktails in Jafari Bar. The food in...

2017: New Attractions for Cbeebies Land

Is it just the pessimist in me that fears this will just be a relocated/rethemed 'Flying Jumbos' from Chessington?

Thorpe Park 2017: DBGT: Rise of The Demon

I think it's also incredibly safe to assume that when/if we board the suspended train, we'll actually be boarding something completely different to the set piece featured in the queue - with some clever uses of corridors to disorientate.

Thorpe Park 2017: DBGT: Rise of The Demon

I really don't understand all the negativity that's appeared surrounding Derren Brown. Considering Merlin's latest efforts at dark rides have all lacked details, cohesion and theatricality (three things Brown always nails in his work) we should see this as an opportunity to get excited. After...

Anything's possible at Chessington. It's this paragraph in the info that really kicks the teeth: "This change is good news for Premium Wizards: fairer parking, bigger smiles and much more FUN! See you soon!"

I had my holiday confirmed at this morning's staff meeting. So I'll be there! Does anyone have space in a car for getting between the parks and the hotel?

I'm hoping to jump from the shadows and join you all on this meet. Hopefully for all three days (if I can claim the Sunday off work.) so, could chip in for rooms?

    Legoland Windsor

Yes, I realise that they're larger versions of on the minifigs but part of what made Legoland so special was the fact it reeked of craftsmanship and skill. As a brand that heavily emphasises imagination, rethemeing an area by ripping out the Lego models in favour of fibreglass replicas and...

    Legoland Windsor

Judging from those photos on Theme Park Guide all the new 'models' are not actually made of Lego. A little part of me died when I saw them. Another part of the park's soul ripped out.

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I've always wondered why they haven't gutted Tomb Blaster's warehouse and killed two birds with one stone by building a Mummy-esque dark ride/coaster combo.

    2016: Ireland

In response to whether a submarine ride could work with out the fish - Nemo's Submarine Voyage at Disneyland California did a pretty good job of utilising a fish-less submarine ride. It all depends on the story and atmosphere, which Europa would pile on in abundance. (If they even build one at...

So, this weekend the Azteca Hotel had it's grand opening! The event has seemed to slip under the radar (Suggesting a questionable use of the word 'grand'.) There's some photos floating about on twitter under #AztecaHotel. I'm on my phone so can't link to them directly. Looks to be some decent...

    2016: Theme Park Developments

If Doctor Who was to replace Duel, surely the obvious way to go would be to keep the facade the same and use the Weeping Angels as a way into the ride's narrative. #justsayin' ;)

When I was staying in the hotel a couple of weeks ago the ticket had 'HOTEL' printed on it. No need to show the key card.
