[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

Well, Theme parks are a business first and foremost; they have to consider what will get the general public to the park, so they can make money, and the budget they are given so construct the ride. But it does suck that this ride feels like it was created to break the UK height record, not offer...

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

What makes me optimistic is how enthusiasts from overseas have reacted to this coaster: it helps me to realise that we always want what we don't have, instead of appreciating the amazing coasters the UK has to offer. Take the Smiler for example, the world record holder for most inversions, an...

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

I don't think we can compare it to traditional hypers, based on this concept art; it's 200ft but it's not a hyper in the sense of long, drawn out, floater airtime. If we don't consider it as such, we can judge the ride as it is, and not what we were predicting.

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

Yeah, I hadn't thought about those supports on the skyline. It's definitely gonna be a whole different story to Stealth's top hat; might lead to more problems with visual pollution that white track can fix.

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

I can't help but agree. Part of me has mentally moved on to Alton Towers' next investment. But we can't give up hope yet; it does look intense and impressive. It also occurred to me that the whole layout may not necessarily be visible in the concept art, as it aims to show the coaster from a...

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

This makes me feel a bit better. I saw Premier rides skyrocket... but Mack Big Dippers look insane so I'm trying to see this as something similar...

Hey, and maybe Colossus can get in on some of the lap bar action too(!)

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

A B&M Hyper seems to me like the most likely option, but that could just be because it's the general consensus in forums at the moment. Personally I'm hoping for a GCI or RMC Hybrid. I know an RMC seems impossible but I think that's due to the overhype and excessive push for one of these coaster...

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Thank you for explaining. You are right that it isn't necessarily the least popular at towers. I can understand not removing it to prevent uproar from enthusiasts but actively investing money into the coaster? It just doesn't seem realistic in my opinion. The only situation in which I can...

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Is there evidence for a nemesis re-track? It's by far the least popular ride at the park; surely it makes sense to remove it completely if it requires that type of maintenance to stay in operation. Then again, the capacity is decent, it may be more popular than it looks. I love nemesis, but I...
