When were you last scared on a ride ?

The Mouse at Blackpool PB must get an honourable mention here ... taking those corners always felt about 2 seconds from certain death! My sister said it's the only time my face said "get me off this thing" rather than "this is the best moment of my life" 🤣 Also Star Flyers ... nope!

    Travellers Day Scarefest

'Cultural' does not excuse rudeness, queue jumping (breaking the rules of the private property they are on), violence, aggression etc. This would not be tolerated if a crowd of football fans attended park ... they would be called hooligans, removed from the park, banned from returning. The...

    Travellers Day Scarefest

I had a prebooking for today but decided against going as thought it might be "alcohol free family fun day" today. As a lone female visitor there is no way I'm taking a risk on visiting when this behaviour is out of control on park. It's a shame that AT can't get a grip of this, but with such...

    The Retrosquad: General Discussion

I had the same today after my second ride (the ride op had it on a extended cycle and it was crazy intense) ... my right leg went numb while I was on the ride and I had to wiggle my foot to get some feeling back & i got off the ride with a feeling of cramped muscle in my right calf. It's still...

    Scarefest 2019

I'm on the grass parking but I think most of it's too soggy to use today. Queues are horrible and Th13teen has just closed for the night as it's "too cold". It was colder last night at Blackpool according to my feet and nothing shut because of the temperature :D

    Larger people on rides

@Ethan don't forget you're restraint will be locked in much closer to the seat back if you are on the smaller side ... Galactica is quite generous I find, but my friend can't get on it due to her body shape, it just won't lock her in :( chest:waist ratio will generally mean you will be pinned in...

    Larger people on rides

I have perfected my death glare when people pinch my back seat on Icon ... I agree I've also seen this a lot on Icon and plenty people not even fitting on the back row. It seems to be big tummies that cause most Icon issues, I have no issues on any seat with my *ahem* curvy hourglass figure :D...

I was planning on going next Sunday so all good! Spent a soggy day at Blackpool today but it didn't feel all that Halloweeny sp looking forward to my Scarefest visit :p

    2019: General Discussion

The same could be said for staff at BPB, probably more so, but they really are on the whole a pleasant bunch dealing with the same complaints from the public At the end of the day, minimum wage or not, AT staff are being paid to do a job working with the public and being the face of the park...

    2019: General Discussion

One thing I did notice from spending far less time at AT this year than usual and far more time at BPB is that the staff at Alton this year are on the whole a right miserable bunch compared the Blackpool staff. They need a few lessons in customer service and how to make a visit pleasant for the...

    2019: General Discussion

Was it busy today? I was there on Sunday and got in a decent ride count... Smiler x 2 Wickerman x 2 Nemesis x 2 front row Th13teen x 2 Spinball x 2 Galactica Hex Duel Not bad for a Sunday in August :p

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

@rob666 I must have been lucky this season as I've not had any issues getting front or back row (except for being booted off back row when someone further down the train can't get their restraint fastened) I try to avoid super busy days though :)

I was thinking the same myself watching hardly any boats running which is why I asked the question about boat count. All the electricity to pump the water around and work the effects and hardly any guests floating along to see it! It would surely make more sense to close it until more boats...

@Matt N I really cant decide on my favourite row on Icon! I rode 4 times today, 2 back row and 2 front and my favourite is the one I'm on at the time :p Front row is a great "wind in your face" rush, awesome over the top hat and feels so fast! It was a bit crazy early in the year when cold...

Thankies :) I was guessing at 4 as there was such a long wait for a boat to exit the ride! It opened late today and there was a chunky queue when I left around quarter to five as the sun had just come out! The queue was hardly moving, it looked like a looooong wait :(

Nice day on park today with the only sad face due to Dipper only being on one train and therefore generating a queue I CBA to wait in (especially with Icon munching the queue on 2 trains and running beautifully!) There was a good atmosphere on park, staff were excellent as usual and decent...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

I had an unexpectedly awesome few hours on park today due to nice weather and tiny queues. There was a nice atmosphere on park despite the relatively low numbers and I do love a day with no queues! In 3 and a half hours I got on Dipper, Nash, Streak, Steeplechase, Airbender, Derby Racer...

I said the same when I got home about the parking on South Shore ... it was as busy as an August weekend! Would have been a nice little bonus day for the shops and cafes who were open. It's good to see people (and money! ) coming into the town outside of the traditional Easter to November season
