Thorpe had to apply for planning permission to keep the dome open till 3am, I think they wanted a certain amount a year and in the end I think they had to settle for half - thorpe have locals, the people in penton Park opisite the park objected quite heavily against the late openingns. I think...
Was a shame as it wasn't too busy too!
After DBGT failed to open they've invited everyone who attended to another Summer Nighs at the park on 9th September !
Always been railings along Stealths launch - after the Rita cable snap they blocked off the area so you couldnt walk under it and the following closed season additional railings were added and that area reopened.
Stealth was down most of last Saturday and reopened around 5pm - it opened again...

Bubbleworks is closing on the 6th September with the "Factory under new management" from March 2017!
Correct me if i'm wrong but Merlins claims to be second to Disney are more aimed internally / to shareholders regarding visitor numbers rather to the every day guest visiting for a day out at one of their theme parks..
Guest feedback for DBGT seems to be very good (saw most people giving it...

For the last 3/4 days they've been extending hours slightly till 5:30 for coasters although think...

I find it hard to believe they don't know a ride line up - closed season maintainanance will now be coming to an end, rides which are going to open will be testing and staff will be training, there's no doubt they know what's opening but for some reason are not releasing the info.
To be fair im sure she has always accepted it would at some point re-open, its the tabloids twisting what she says for a sensational headline as usual!
Only speculation at the moment but theres a few hints dropped by the park that The Swarm will fully run forwards this year including:
Removal of Backwards on the ride page
Removal of Backwards rows on new press releases
A few suggestive tweets saying "The Swarm will be moving forwards this...
I know its a trend to bash Merlin at every opportunity, but not many company's would sustain the falls in revenue that Merlin have seen across its UK parks this year and not make staff redundancies.
Its crappy for the staff (I know ive been made redundant before) and I hope those effected are...
I wonder if they are timing its lap times around the track with different weights to determine what would be an acceptable minimal weight during operation - so bit like Thirteen it wont run without so many people in a car.
Just a thought
