    Bullying on Towers Street

Disappointingly, a large amount of the bullying doesn't occur on the forums, but in private in other places. This is one of the worst aspects of it, I know a few people that haven't posted on these forums for a long time because they've been driven out by offline bullying. Not to mention a mod...

    Coronavirus

Our local Aldi seems to be enforcing it when it's busy, but not when it's quiet. They usually have someone on the door providing sanitised trolleys, but recently they've only had them on days where there's a queue to get in

What have you got to look forward to in the near future?

First socially distanced band practice for 3 months in a week or two, be fun to see how effective masks are!

    Food we eat wrong

Apparently cheese and peanut butter isn't an appropriate sandwich filling? Weetabix with hot water and a dash of milk is also amazing, but gets me more funny looks!

    I’d like to apologise

It's not just the London thread, Matt seems to have become the forum's whipping boy that people mock because they know he's extremely positive and they can get away with it. Is it necessary to point out that he likes lots of posts? People were clamouring for a 'like' feature on the forum, now...

    I’d like to apologise

Don't apologise, tell them to get lost, don't take the forum too seriously, don't read lists, and certainly don't listen to ANYBODY on here EDIT: Interesting that the victim of bullying has had to make a thread about how he's sorry he got bullied and he can go away if that's easier

    General Hotel Discussion

Reading the quick questions thread about the hotels; it's very telling that all people have to say about the rooms in the hotels is "fine". It should be spectacular and immersive and worth the premium price beyond just being close to the park and I've just realised I'm beating a dead horse

    Swiss Cottage

I reckon they could get away with turning it into a museum of the park and towers, like the one at Holiday Park or Historama at EP. One roaming member of staff to keep an eye, lots of pictures and props from the past, and maybe a little coffee stand and some chairs outside. Although they'd need...

    London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion

There's supposed to be an environmental report coming out on the 12th, so maybe we'll know more then? Or they'll miss that too and nothing will happen for another 6 months until the manager's fuel card needs topping up.

PowerPark 2015: Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster, Junker

I'm really glad we got a million different angles of the lift and that first element in the first 3 minutes, really helped me appreciate how much I don't care about this ride

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

There's a bit at the bottom of this page: https://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/covid-19-information-for-guests Just saying they've not decided yet, and they pass on their best wishes during these challenging times. Maybe they're hoping pass holders forget or have pity on the park?

    Coronavirus

It would have really been handy if those coppers had just had the patience to wait for the pandemic to be over before killing a man in broad daylight

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

Don't forget that you're not allowed to like it Matt, it's not on the list of enthusiast-approved coasters

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

What does being listed actually entail? Could they scrap the ride, but leave the structure and build around it. Have the new station built over Nash's, with glass floors over the tracks, and then just weave the supports as close to the old structure as possible, with access for routine maintenance.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

That sounds like bitter enthusiast/mumsnet chuntering! I think it's more likely they put the scanners in to discourage some of the less savoury patrons they used to get loads of and now they won't remove them so it doesn't seem like they don't take security seriously. The velvet coaster is...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

It had rolling and it had coasting, but it was definitely a water ride not a credit for me! My favourite memory of it was the old ops that used to pull the same trick over and over, and 9 times out of 10 it worked! The exit was a bridge that went over the splashdown, but there weren't that many...

    Coronavirus

There is the entire social work sector, that's full of poverty line workers, that would be totally borked if too many old folks fall victim to the economy.
