How is a traditional chain hill rollercoaster so temperamental.
I visited in June 2019 and they'd still not finished building the thing.
Opened late in the 2019 season.
It didn't operate at all in 2020.
Been on and off since 2021 until it just stopped opening the middle of last season.

35th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster today.
Didn't entirely understand what had happened as a kid, I do however remember the silence of queueing in the streets around Anfield in the aftermath of the disaster to pay respect to the victims. Was the first time I'd even visited the ground.
You'd hope they'd have built the coaster in a way so it can be operated in highish winds.
Unlike the big one were Geoffrey Thompson wanted it built in a specific way and with those 2 big first hills and turnaround to draw attention to itself and the park.
Just hopeful that the noises coming out this weekend means Merlin and the other UK park operators are now (if not already) hard at work at planning investments and additions to their own parks for the next decade.
Nice to see two relatively local teams to me in Wrexham and Stockport getting promoted to league one. Both have had an horrendous time of it until quite recently.
24/25 the last season Stockport can have the claim of having the closest ground in the top 4 divisions to the river Mersey as well...
They'll probably test it after park hours in the coming days, probably have the local media there as well like they did with Nemesis Reborn.
