I have no issues riding The Smiler after the accident, however it's not a coaster I really get any enjoyment from so unless there was a short queue I wouldn't bother anyway.

If they are closing these rides for a season, what they need to do is reduce prices, have some great entry offers (including hotel stays) and get people through the gates. CBB land will keep the kids happy. The coasters (hopefully well maintained) will keep the teenagers and adults happy. Sadly...

I remember this leaflet well, I think my first visit would have been the year before as the rapids were definitely not there.

I don't think the brand would really work now, regardless of the media. They would really need to tone down any of the theme for it to work. I'm guessing they will rebrand for next year. I absolutely hated the theme, so would be glad to see it refreshed but i know I am in a minority.

Depending on the HSE findings, I wonder if they are looking into processes for the other rides, to be clear there are no issues. Could be a few days closed to tweak some things, re-train staff on new procedures etc. I expect they will be open for the weekend.

It's a shame really that if Top Gear doesn't continue, not only do the public who love the show miss out, but what about all the crew and staff who work on it (I imagine it would be a great show to work on, apart from having to deal with a diva host). All those peoples lives affected due to one...

Apart from B&M dive machines, I don't really find there vertical and beyond vertical drops appealing. They are something and nothing, not really to forceful. I'm hoping the trend moves away from them

These kinds of activities go hand in hand with cabin type holidays, so it's a bit of a no brainer. Any addition to the resort area has to be a bonus though, surely? I would use it, assuming it was priced realistically against similar things (we'll see about that one!)

I sure there are others who can elaborate on other aspects, but if have stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn right next to SFMM a couple of times. Really nice, 5/10 min walk up to the park and plenty of restaurant options nearby!

Re: 2014: CBeebies Land Alternatively they could just start working on projects earlier and have them ready in plenty of time to factor in problems. Always best to launch a new project at the start of the season! Either way, good they are being cautious / sensible.

From past experience none of the Thorpe mazes have come close to ToTT or The Sanctuary me. Experiment 10 in its first year was a really great fresh new concept, but theming wise, it wasn't up to much. I miss the Field :( that's my outstanding memory of Scarefest.
