Just a quick one. Are Alton Towers doing the Eat Out to help out scheme? I was in Oakwood last week and they were doing it at all food locations, wonder if Alton are doing the same?

Seems TPWW has deleted/hidden a number of videos over the past couple of days. Not sure which ones though. it equates to 191,000 views so i imagine its a few videos

All these videos are still up and monetised. It's like the BBC putting a warning up about an investigation into Saville just before playing a Jim'l Fix it Christmas special.

I think it would have been wise to remove some of the videos that feature these characters but as it stands many are still up including the one that really snowballed all this information and they are still monetised so adds are running on them. Theres a real danger in putting all your eggs in...

i don't think anyone was expecting a full line up. But prices should reflect this and customers should be made aware of the closed attractions before committing to a visit. There is no mention of any ride closures on the home page and even if you dive into the Covid section they mention some...

Will be interesting to see if you get a true to life video (lots of rides closed without notice/downtime/lack of food & drink) or if you get the approved 'best day eva' marketing department spin version. :):)

As I've said before in this thread a long time ago. I have no problem with Vloggers as such but I feel they should be giving honest opinions if they want to help their audience. They are not going to do this if they fear a park getting upset if they criticise a park and not giving them the free...

Could the not put a temp hold on a nominal fee for a pass holder to reserve a 'ticket' space and then when that passholder visits the fee automatically gets refunded?

If they are working as essential workers then they are not Alton Towers staff. Some may come back, most will probably prefer it where they are now if they have new jobs with decent regular hours. Thats the problem you get when you have 0 hour contracts..

Boris won't tell anyone anything. He doesn't wake up each morning and wonder if he should call up nick varney. The only notice he's given in advance has been for schools and that's not set in stone. They'll probably get a week or 2 notice at most.

Same, all the videos I've seen have had a few people in the parks. They can open, although they look like brightly coloured hospital wards :P But i can't see them making any money. If they can afford to take a loss for a while then that's the only way I can see them opening.
