Thanks! I must admit that it was seeing the building that FITH is being installed into that made me think. Then seeing the dimensions convinced me. (Take your point that the layout could be completely different and result in a different building size, but I suppose the point is that a FITH type...
Not posted in a long while, but given what we now know, I would be AMAZED if Project Horizon is not an RMC and similar to Fire in the Hole 2. There are lots of things pointing that way.
1. John Burton saying 'Can we cut the camera, we cant be talking about anything potentially on the horizon'...
🤣 could be.... I Just think that there are a lot of odd things about it. I'll probably be proved wrong, but I get the feeling it is quite an important addition to the plans.
Just an observation on the plan above (....probably one that someone has made already...). The curved red line that comes from the top north eastern corner looks to me likely to be some form of track. There are a few reasons for this:
When scaled against other coaster track layouts (e.g...
Bang on Dan, this may not be popular with enthusiasts, but the idea will be a massive hit with the GP. They'll come flocking in, most kids in the 7-13 age bracket love his books. Let's hope it's done well so it isn't a disappointment that puts people off coming back again....
....my money is...
On social media, on this forum, on news outlet website, in life - there are those that focus on every negative, those that focus on every positive and those that take a judgement from somewhere in the middle. Generally people like to post complaint rather than praise. Its all academic really...
Also, the very last clips seem to show extracts from a POV taken after dark, if you slow them down you can see the entrance to the first lifthill tunnel (circa 0:21) and the train doing the helix before the wickermans chest (circa 0:22 after the eye), with the wicker head looming over you, there...
World's first possibilities:
Something new with the trains
Something in the tunnel before the lift hill
Something in the sound tunnels
New fangled launch mechanism
Something to do with fire
Or
The world's first rollercoaster fully dedicated to green buildings.
I honestly think that when people ride this they will be positively surprised. The ride is short, but so is white lightning and it's awesome. The first part of the first drop is short, but from top of lift hill to bottom of the pit is a fair way down so pace will increase throughout this...
:p was merely stating facts, when I see a video of testing I'll believe it (although I agree that ECC are a credible source,). If it has been tested they must have now paused for construction to continue as they were working on the sound walls again today which wouldn't be possible with trains...
Was on site today and there are a couple of minor updates which I dont think have been stated on here. The wickerman structure looks finished and if you stand next to marauders mayhem you can see the top half of his upper torso and the themeing looks excellent. The helix and air time hills into...
4m tall from hips to head. Imagine a miniature railway on the same scale, or cabdburies miniatures, or the windmill on a similarly scaled miniature golf course, or the new mini clubman, or Minnie mouse... I wouldn't dare leave the house!
Looks promising! Wonder where this will end up and how it will link with the bigger structure. Possibly in the station / preshow building? Also completely gives away what the main wickerman will look like. That's bigger than 2m tall!
I'm in agreement that this isnt a missed opportunity, but can see why people are thinking that. If you wanted a Balder, Wodan or even a lightning rod then this isn't it BUT Alton more pressingly needed a more family friendly coaster which this is, and it looks a very good one which will still be...
Looks as thought the ITV *Actual construction footage* has gone down very well with the GP. People at work discussing it today saying it looks awesome. Just comparing the facebook reactions, the last Elliot Crawford vid got 261 'likes' and 106 comments in total. The ITV central vid was posted...
Theme park worldwide have done a recent update that shows the area next to the katanga sign quite well, bear in mind thar the work isn't finished yet in this location and that it is still the main construction site access. https://www.youtube.com/user/ThemeParkWorldwide
Just like the go jetters ride, oh and the rainwater gully in my back yard, it's globally unique that it is the worlds only rain gully that happens to be in MY back yard. Marketing piffle.
