Efteling is a park that isnt part of a group and it appears to be doing just fine. Phantasialand too.

Currently staying in Holland so yesterday I went to Efteling and bought a season pass. €18.50 a month including parking as I plan to do efteling a few times during the stay. Also gets me into Phantasialand free for one visit. So that's where I am today. Detailed reports to follow but so far...

I don't think they would need planning permission to demolish Spinball. Isn't it part of the general development order?

Turns out Efteling do a season pass. Can pay monthly too, although whether they will let a Brit have it monthly remains to be seen. Gives you one free entry to phantasialand too from what I can make out too. Might attempt buying one later!

So the scary remote control creature that Darren was using in the park in one of the promo vids..is it used in the ride? Feel free to "spoiler" your answer...I just can't see where it fits in.

I wish he would return and give us an updated RCT. Same style and feel. I much prefer RCT2 and Transport Tycoon to any of the later stuff. Can't wait for Phantasialand next week. I've never been so will be a completely new experience! Bring on the coasters!!

I've just noticed that Baron at Efteling is only 6 person per row train instead of Oblivions 8. I think Oblivion needs something, floorless trains could be a way to go to give it a refresh because let's face it, it's not that reridable now adays. Up, down, end.

With it looking like it's going to run into July from its original May opening, anyone else think they might open it as a new for 2017 attraction instead?

I've been twice now and find the Galactica graphics like something out of a Nintendo. I've tried adjusting but still found it a bit pants. Also found coming out of the right station the VR assumes your coming out of the left which is a bit disorientating. I'm not convinced by it. On Saturday...

Park is to remain closed tomorrow by all accounts. As has been said many times previously, my thoughts go to all the people involved from the injured to the ride ops and staff who had to deal with the incident right through to the witnesses who had to stand and watch it unfold :-(
