    Legoland Windsor

The thing that annoys me most about this is that it's clear very little planning when in to it. The facade looks ok (certainly not the dragon levels of theming but there are worse out there), but the people designing the facade obviously didn't know that the madhouse wasn't going partially...

    Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2018

I did look for breakdance last time but I couldn't find it, and unless it has a different name, it's not listed for this year. Ski Jump looked fun, just ran out of time so I might give that a go this year, thanks.

    Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2018

So, aside from olympia and the other decent coasters, what other rides are worth doing? I went a couple of years ago but focused on the coasters and would like to try some of the flat rides this time (I did do hangover last time though. Never again)

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Visited Thorpe yesterday. Not a lot to say that hasn't already been mentioned by others, but I have some thoughts on the day. Sorry if the post is kind of long. Firstly, Derren browns ghost train... by far the worst experience of this attraction so far. We waited outside at 12 since there...

    The Alton Towers Dungeon

2019 is certainly going to be an interesting year then... After spending an hour of your limited time at the park going through the carbon copy of an attraction that any visitor with a merlin has already done new dungeons (and paying to do so), you can walk a mile through a muddy field to sleep...

    Scarefest 2018

I wouldn't worry. The scarefest budget this year doesn't stretch to roaming actors. Their are some in their "screamospheres" by the enterance to galactica and in mutiny bay, but they weren't exactly enthusiastic about scaring people. And most of the actors are pretty good at avoiding people if...

    Scarefest 2018

I thought project 42 was good. Maybe not the best this year, but still far better than the welcoming, which was by far the weakest. Some of the actors were very enthusiastic. My only spoiler-free complaint I would have is that it was much too dark, which really just meant you couldn't see the...

    Nemesis: Sub-Terra

Never understood the point of NST. Get shouted at and insulted by staff who really don't seem to care, watch a cheap CGI video that contradicts the original nemesis story (why couldn't they just play the tom baker one in the queue line, it explains enough), finally get to the ride itself, where...

    Scarefest 2017

My mistake, not on sale yet. Not hard to misread the mobile version on the website.

    Scarefest 2017

Looking at tower's website, it actually suggests that the fourth maze will be free. You can book tickets now for three scare mazes, plus one new scare maze (£16 with map discount for all four, the same as last year).

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Haven't been to thorpe in a while, so I thought I'd discuss some things I saw at the weekend. I understand the tight security and bag searches, but it was poorly managed. Two 20 minute cattle pens by the enterance to get your bag searched, even though people with push chairs or cool boxes were...

Too big for the rides at Alton Towers???

You should be able to ride everything, though spinball may be uncomfortable due to restrictive restraints. Rita, oblivion and galactica all have test seats outside, and all main rides have staff outside the enterance who should be able to help you out if you're unsure :)

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

I'm planning to go to pleasure beach in a couple of weeks for the first time, does anyone know if they do 2 for 1's or anything on the wristbands? And when can you get the wristbands as I've heard it's busy first thing? Thanks

Drayton Manor Park - Splash Canyon Incident

Sad news. Shame that this is the second incident on a rapids ride in a relatively short time. Hopefully drayton will recover from this better than towers (but as far as I'm aware, this is the second fatality at the park?), but of course all thoughts to the family and those on the ride at the...

    2017: General Discussion

It was running four trains during fireworks, so they definitely have four trains available, possibly even all five. They'll never run five, but at least it's a spare train.

    2017: General Discussion

It's worth knowing that last season, smiler was often opening before 10. As soon as it was ready to open, it did (sometimes only a couple of minutes, but still an advantage if you're desperate to get on it). Who knows if that will happen this year though, but nothing wrong with getting a couple...

    Legoland Windsor

They're really pushing vouchers or merlin's this year. A Merlin cost just £9 more Legoland annual pass, and there are discount tickets with McDonald's and oden cinema tickets. Shame they are excluding people who pay on the gate, but I can see why.

    2017: General Discussion

Anyone else see the irony of a booklet regarding health and safety featuring an image of what looks like the least safe ride imaginable. It's one thing using an image from the wrong park (colossus in towers marketing comes to mind), but it doesn't take much common sense to figure out that...

    Towers Loving Care

Am I the only person who thinks that it looked better before? Of course it looks cleaner now, but its like someone vomited a strange mix of the leftover paint from CBeebies land over it. It's almost as if they would only pay for paint that makes people feel nauseous looking at it. Almost
