Re: Merlin Parks & Attractions: Quick Questions.
Not official ERT but they have been allowing MAP holders in before the general public are allowed in, I got 20 minutes last week. And you get whatever's ready to open, all I managed to get on last week was Stealth.
2014: CBeebies Land
BBC Worldwide do actually produce quite a bit of content themselves. For example the vast majority of special features on BBC DVD and Bluray is produced by BBC Worldwide.
Whilst you are right in that an agency will be producing the CBeebies Land campaign, BBC Worldwide...
And X, Flying Fish and Storm in a Teacup.
I went with my 6 year old daughter and she loved the place X is one of her favourite ride now.
And soon there will also be the Dodgems and a 4D Cinema too.
I think they're getting the balance right, so the whole family which includes younger kids...
My six year old daughter pointed out the flames and scorpion with water effect and smoke.
She commented that it was better than the "boring caves" and better than Flying Fish last week!
And to be honest I quite enjoyed it too for what it is.
Flight of the Hippogriff at Universal Orlando is...
Absolutely shocking operations today on the Vampire. Queue reached 75 minutes by 10.30am!
I did a throughput calculation and they were averaging a dispatch time of 3min 45secs. That's a throughput of 545pph! Absolutely shocking!!
It actually wouldn't surprise me if we see the addition of Merlin branding a lot more now, they have rebranded the MAP and have a bunch of shareholders.
It's a sort of look who we are and all these places we operate.
Re: Busch Gardens Tampa 2014: drop tower "Falcon's Fury"
Went on Gwazi in October on my first visit and wanted to add to my count.
Horrendous!
Came off with a headache, I'm glad I've done it but wouldn't bother again.
You are correct, Vardon Attractions was the company that was involved in a management buy out and became Merlin Entertainments. In fact when they were created in 1998 all they owned were Sea-Life and the London/York Dungeons.
There are however a number of Sea-Life Centres that started out life...
^ I don't think it's a problem with the ride, I just reckon that they're running it on a short cycle to keep the queues down. I went on it on a quiet day and it went over the hump 3 or 4 times.
Understandable but not good for the ride experience.

Midweek openings aren't unusual.
The Swarm opened on a Thursday.
I think it's sensible option to allow them to be operationally more effective and iron the kinks out of operating a ride with real people.

^ You are right in saying there are poles.
But there are also two TVs!
Would love to see cameras that follow you as you go under too!
^ To be fair to Chessie Zufari is pretty vicious! It bounces you around a lot so much so that I didn't feel particularly secure in my seat!
However I do think 1.1m is a tad high.

Just one last pic from me:
Looks like it's going to be one of those throw the balls in the bucket games stalls.
