I heard from an inside source yesterday that SW8 is set to have a "fire theme". This backs up the Wickerman speculation, but maybe there are plans to incorporate special effects throughout the ride. Reliability is of course a major concern here.

I remember that well, similarly to how Revolution used to market itself, or maybe still does, as "the most exciting and thrilling ride of your life". I think that clears up my original question, although it's still confusing as to why different sources state different top speed stats.

I thought so! In that case how can Blackpool Pleasure Beach get away with listing The Big One as "the UK's tallest & fastest roller coaster" in all of their most recent marketing, with top speed claims of 87mph?

Is The Big One still actually the UK's fastest rollercoaster? There seems to be contrasting information online around claims for Stealth and The Big One, and top speed statistics aren't consistent either.

I was there on Tuesday and it was very busy. Nemesis had an 80 minute queue at midday and The Smiler had a 120 minute queue at 5pm.

But why hold the queue so far away from the station? Wouldn't the queue just be held in the station to allow for the fastrack? I'm assuming that the fastrack queue is at the exit of Nemesis.

Does anyone know why the queue is held on busy days at the end of the bridge on Nemesis?
