There are some great ideas there and I feel like the cost to implement those would be minimal since they focus on holidays which is in my opinion when these this should take place.
With the 'Year of the Walking Dead' at Thorpe, I could see something similar at Towers but using a family friendly...
My argument about the cost of running it would be more about the cost of staff and maintenance as the ride is getting on a bit now. I wonder when it will need significant work.
When I said I thought it would closed I wasn't thinking short term I was thinking 2025-2030.
Katanga canyon would have...
Controversial opinion, I don't think the rapids has much future mainly because of the cost of running it and the space it takes up which I think could be used for a major new addition. I don't think there's much future for water rides in the country unless parks are able to regulate the splash.
I think its likely that we will see an expansion of Cbeebies land onto the Spinball site and obviously there are also the rumors that CCL will be getting a re-theme next year which will be good. I think the next major coaster will be very similar to Wickerman in that it will be a family coaster.
With Wickerman this year I'm sure attendance will be higher.
Per capita spending should be up as well because there will be lots of one-off visitors for the new coaster.
Don't forget that although typically per capita spending is lower with AP holders they do tend to be a major source of...
Flats are needed at Towers. Maybe we will see some flats on the low investment cycles once CCL has been reworked.
If Merlin where clever about it they could just get a selection form the Zamperla catalogue and send them to the various parks they own,
They just need to bring in an IP that fills the gap between CBeebies and the rest of the park in terms of targeting and use the existing attractions in the area for now and then in stages add a dark ride (retheme Charlie) a show (Ice age replacement). I also think it would be quite nice to see a...
I think the standards of the rides that Merlin have been installing across the board is improving. Gruffalo in my opinion is a really good dark ride. I'm really pleased that the theming of the coaster is of a good quality I only hope the pre-shows and whatever they else they do is done to a good...
I would say that the park are already quite far along the developments for SW9.
That's a really good point id never considered how much of a potential opportunity the commonwealth might have for the park.
I don't think this is true because most of the groups of people who go to Alton would take the time to follow the TLC account or take notice of their posts.
I think Merlin is definitely interested in installing a 4D coaster because of the fact it would be such a clear Uks first and you could easily tie it into an IP or a theme.
I think an S&S freespin would work well at Thorp although the capacity would be an issue.
Some kind of 4D coaster would...
I definitely think there's going to be lots of theming and effects.
I'm really hoping the story of the ride is reinforced in the queue and on the ride and there are lots of pre-shows etc.
