Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

I swear WM has had issues with the lift hill ever since it opened - possibly to do with it featuring the change in incline part of the way up?

    Nemesis: Sub-Terra

Ah so perhaps they are making changes to the seat/restraint system? The towers originally sat 10 riders each so perhaps they will be replaced by 8 seater cars that offer more room?

    Nemesis: Sub-Terra

Regarding the talk about the drop towers returning in limited capacity, why would that be? Surely they'd want to maximise it as much as possible? Or maybe they've cannibalised one or two towers for parts due to the ride being SBNO for so long? Or maybe that's a bs rumour?

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

Ahem... Looks about the right height but this ride will actually have a larger building in terms of area use.

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

So funnily enough, Intamin posted this to their YT channel today:- I could see the new ride being something like this, and I think it'd be easily marketable. My only concern is that the building would need to be around 30m tall to house it, but I think it could be possible if they dug a pit...

    Enterprise Site

I couldn't see Towers going for any kind of S&S flat ride, mainly due to the loud noise of the pneumatics, whether it be a Screamin' Swing or a small Shot Tower.

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

I think it was a joke.

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

I don't think he ever said it wouldn't happen for SW9? He said that "a hybrid coaster is possibly on the table" which as far as I'm concerned could include SW9.

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

If it was I would lose every bit of excitement I have cause the SWO one looks turd.

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

    So you mean like this?
  13. CrashCoaster

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

I didn't, Towers just seems like more of a pain in the arse than Thorpe for getting planning permission. I suppose it depends on whereabouts SW9 is gonna be I guess. *If* they wanted to do something in the valley for a 2025 opening for instance then they'd absolutely have to file permission soon.

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

I mean he wasn't totally wrong... Anyways this is exciting news, I hope the Q&A gets released soon. I'm expecting SW9 to come in 2025 personally, but I could see planning permission be filed VERY SOON due to the fact it will probably have a lot issues with the locals/council, even moreso than...

Oh sorry, I thought you meant new coaster projects. My bad.

    TBC: SW9 Speculation

You mean two coaster projects? Thorpe and Chessington? Since Legoland is an IP (although they supposedly have a B&M family invert in the works) and Towers doesn't seem to be adding anything substantial anytime soon.

Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

I personally think it would be better if the pre-show just played on repeat constantly while a small cattle-pen queue was set up inside, so the queue would constantly move into the station while most people would get to view the preshow. Although the issue with this is that you might not get to...

    2022: General Discussion

Might as well just get another Huss flat ride package - a new Enterprise, Pirate Ship and Top Spin to replace the obvious.

SW1 & SWII part 2. Nah seriously though, could you imagine something like Helix built on the side of and into the Valley? Or maybe even something like Time Traveler or RTH, then I wouldn't feel so bad about them mercilessly ripping out Spinball in the future.

Also, I don't think Merlin is even known for cannibalising trains? Although then again, I always see one of Oblivion's shuttles in bits.
