but think about it practically for a second. Where would one put that? I don’t think it’d complement my lounge. It’d Be like a scary, expensive Christmas tree.
Ah but Matthew the 4pm ride closures etc come from the lack of visitors and the attitudes the public have about AT these days ;) but I feel myself sidetracking this conversation away from the Wicker Man, so uhhh yeah the Wickerman will be safe and they will keep a closer eye on the blocks?
Strangely enough it seems to be the park’s primary attendees (the public) who are the ones killing the park. People are very uninformed on rollercoasters and journalists are too. If this was Disney nobody would bat an eye. Still though , less people = shorter queues for us
If this is the standard of theming we can expect, this looks promising for future Alton (and Chessington!) investments. It’s about time we raised the competition in this country.
I think the Wickerman will have a great atmosphere to get you ready for the ride. As said before, the story doesn’t need to be force-fed to be enjoyed. If anything it’s better to let the public have some imagination ! (Not keen on Hex’s 2 pre shows).
And referring to a few posts above, we’ve...

I think we’ve probably just seen the best fire interaction on any ride to date. Beats Valhalla’s ring of fire and explosions and Revenge of the Mummy’s fake station element imo. Very excited for this. Shame the general public had to see it first on a livestream- probably not the best choice- and...
If the pre show is great and we have some scenes perhaps before the lift hill and after the break run (in the maintanance shed) we truly could be in for a world class coaster, and I’m not talking just a merlin gimmick
Ok hello everyone. I’m going on the 29th to ride the Wickerman i’m prepared to arrive early. I’m not a MAP or AT pass holder. Do I book before or buy on the day, and what’s the situation with ERT?
The planning restrictions at AT are out of hand. They really are. I’m sorry but the people of Alton have a theme park nearby which is appreciated by people nationwide, I think they can live with seeing a wooden rollercoaster poke above the trees.
But I suppose this is how things are. For their...
