This is exactly when we choose to go on our annual visit because for me there is simply nothing better than the view down the front in the dark during Illuminations from the top of the rides. And, yes, there are always loads of people around to create a buzzing (but safe!) environment. Can't...
I agree with @Katy ... I get the pearl clutching from my colleagues every year when I say I'm going to BPB. They continued to be amazed that I return to work in one piece. It really isn't as rough as people think. Honestly, I've witnessed far more scary/aggressive behaviour at both AT and TP...
Matt, do you know why your parents are scared? I imagine I'm much the same age as them and honestly it's my favourite theme park in the UK. I love the way the park is tiny (by AT standards) and so easy to get around. There is a huge variety of rides to suit all tastes. I've never felt...
I agree wholeheartedly. If I had the luxury of living closer to AT and I could visit regularly I'd be content to maybe have three or four rides in a day. But when geography and a busy schedule mean I can only manage one day a year at AT I need to maximise the number of rides I can go on...
Thank you @rob666, was suspecting we'd have to go down the fasttrack path. I guess we've been spoiled with all these years of going on quiet weekdays - and now, of course, these really quiet weekdays are few and far between ... sigh ..
OK, I know this is far from ideal but circumstances dictate it has to be this date (we usually go on random Inset days when it's dead and get shed-loads of rides in but AT isn't open on any of our Inset days this year ... grrr ...). Given that the date is not a variable what would be your best...
What I never understood was why some people (grandparents, I'm looking at you) insisted on using this stuff even decades after the Andrex puppy was a grandparent itself. I'm still scarred by the memory of having to hold in No. 2s because, frankly, wee's were bad enough as Izel's zero absorbency...
My team at work think fax is prehistoric so imagine their amazement to discover that before fax we had the delight of Telex. When I first started work the Telex was referred to in hushed tones, had its own room and only one person was allowed access to it. Happy days!
When we went in December the tolls were well in excess of €60 each way. Indeed, the combined cost of Eurotunnel, fuel and tolls has been enough to make me seriously think that a flight over may well be cheaper.
We were there in May last year and crowd levels were perfect: tiny queues but enough people milling around to give a nice vibe. The buffet in the Bell Rock was the worst meal I've ever eaten at EP and I left hungry but it sounds like we might have just been unlucky. Best meal so far was the...
No worries :) I planned ours like a military operation and boy did it pay off - almost no queuing and did everything we wanted (including multiple rides on our favourites) in all the WDW parks on a 8 day trip. And back at work the next day!
As a new member I don't know if it's the done thing to recommend other websites but I found easy WDW to be the most useful when I planned our WDW trip. Loads of hints and tips, reviews of rides, shows and restaurants etc etc. Bonus tip: print off his park maps, they're a gazillion times easier...
Does anyone know/willing to guess when Rulantica and Kronasar are opening? It was a vague "2019" last time I checked the website. When we went to EP in May we missed the opening of the Vomitarium by ONE DAY :banghead: Would really like to not make another schoolboy error (although of course...
Hiya! Just joined up. Been lurking for ages as I really enjoy reading the chat. I may not be your typical member (middle aged female) but I do love a theme park! Huge EP fan (went twice last year, May and December - fantastic!) and do all the big UK parks at least once a year. Cannot wait...
