I assumed Black Buccaneer was condemned to the scrap yard but...........

Seems abit odd to buy new if the original ride is still serviceable. Could've just refurbed it no?
Unsure if it's been mentioned here but there'll be an appreciation for the NHS staff tonight at 8pm by clapping by your windows, garden, doors, balcony etc
Good find Al, an interesting watch indeed. They even predicted the same sleepy village where "patient 0" infected the uk with covid 19
On a side note can we stop the fear mongering? The media are doing a great job as it is
Yea seems to be the main lager choice, I'll agree it's not the best, abit too fruity for me. Luckily there's afew places still that have Bitburger. And ofcourse, Erdinger
I thought the repaint was too white but it has blended in with the grime nicely! Almost a similar shade to the original.
Admittedly some of Altons coasters are tricky to clean but it's achievable.
Thorpe and even Heide have the grime too, aswell as queueline chewing gum issues. Merlin really...
Came across some old family trip photos and finally got round to scanning them.
Enjoy!
1988 October
Here we have Henry's Parade alongside the Swans.
1995
These are probably October if not September. Apologies for the blurred ones. As usual didn't realise til the negatives came back...
Now that's a blast from the past. Orange f keys and the 5.5 inch floppy disk that actually was floppy.
We had the acorn school computers too. Was the latest modern tech back then, so true about being over cautious to use them!
The one in Dartford? I remember it and yea was awesome, until the pool level was uneven! It was left for a while whilst it was sinking. Cascades down in Gravesend was the other option (still going I believe).
They've built on that land since. No new water park but instead got..........more...
Pretty much agree, it was great for the evening rides though. I did notice it got busy in the latter part of August right up til the 10pm closes last year. Whether that correlates with people returning from their holidays Im not sure.
Rather than cancelling most 8pm closes id rather they got...
Nice report Ryan, Walibi Holland is pretty decent imo. Like a better Dutch version of Thorpe. Not sure about the latest graffiti style art they've added to Merlins castle though!
Slightly off topic but as a fellow bike enthusiast / motogp fan, I'd be more interested to see your review of Assen!
Would be quite a fitting IP, since they're playing dangerous games and tempting suicide.
Not good news about the CAPex reduction. Was there any mention of OPex budgets for Thorpe and Alton?
Leicester will win the prem again before this happens @Rob!
The fly in the ointment with this project is that there are afew overhead hv circuits going through the middle of this land, including some 400kv connected to Britain's largest towers (pylons). National grid will want 10s if not 100s...
Increased opening times/days
SRQ return (seeing empty seats is painful)
Clean the place up (including the Stepping stones, they're overgrown to the point you can't see any water)
None of the above will probably happen, but they could at least return Oblivion to its former glory. Get the...
Ofcourse, its better than nothing.
Had a great WM night ride, very enjoyable. I still feel it's abit short, but it is what it is. Seems to be bedding in nicely and picking up pace over the year.
Thing letting it down now is the preshow door not closing most of the time, ruins the ambience...
