This is primarily to always maintain social distancing; changing it back and forth would be disorganised in a pandemic like this.

I do think Mine Tours is really well themed and I agree that Darkest Depths needs to be more reliable! Although Mine Tours is the most likely to go if they do remove a maze, I suspect the line-up will stay the same (as you said) or another maze will be added. The mazes were extremely successful...

    Scarefest 2021

I certainly enjoyed the entertainments of this year; the fair atmosphere on the lawn was amazing. I really hope they keep the whole fair set-up next year and even develop on it, as covid or not it seems to work really well and makes visiting Scarefest have an atmosphere whether you do the mazes...

Wow, thanks everyone for the replies! I do wish the old Scarefest mazes would come back, I have good memories of them all. If there was one Scarefest maze that you would bring back to experience now, what would it be and why?

    Scarefest 2019

What happened in the Boiler House back in the early days of Scarefest? I've heard it was really intense, but I have no idea what happened and what scenes there were. If anyone could let me know I would largely appreciate it.

    Scarefest 2019

SPOILERS Scarefest has ended and it has been one of the best events yet for Alton Towers. Based on experiences this year, what mazes would everyone like to return next year? If I'm honest, I loved the line-up this year and would not want it to be changed; just improvements to the current mazes...

    Scarefest 2019

I know this sounds like a big request, but could someone describe a full walkthrough of What Lies Within ToTT, as I never actually experienced it. I skipped it the last few years it was running and now regret it. I would really appreciate it.

    Scarefest 2019

In case anyone has not found this already, there is a YouTube channel that has some official Scarefest soundtracks on it. The channel is owned by Simon Allen who is a Creative Manager and the Musical Director at Alton Towers Resort. It appears he has composed and produced most of the recent...

Thanks for the replies everyone :) Any idea where I could buy an air cannon, similar to those used in scare mazes?

    Scarefest 2019

I was just thinking - what actually is an air cannon? I looked on the internet and there didn't seem to be anything named 'air cannon' that looks like what is used in scare mazes. I'm just curious but if anyone knows I would appreciate any information. :)

    Scarefest 2019

Maybe I just had good runs when I went through it. Every time there was actors running through it and banging on the sides screaming in your face - it was intense and a lot of fun. Maybe you think this because you didn't have a particularly good experience with this part or something...?

    Scarefest 2019

If Project 42 does not return next year and Subspecies does, I think it would be a really good idea to add the big squeeze from Project 42 to Subspecies near the end to make it even more intense leading up to the chainsaw ending.

    Scarefest 2019

I have to compliment the ride operations at Scarefest this year. When I was there, most queues (except the Smiler) were moving very fast and there was minimal breakdowns. I feel this year's Scarefest is one of the best.

    Scarefest 2019

I did not actually go on Project 42 last year so thanks for letting me know. :) I agree however, as I said, it is quite a scary experience this year.

    Scarefest 2019

I agree. Scarezones need to come back. I mean, only one at least! They are not that expensive, old props can be used and they always deliver an atmosphere in one way or another. I did really like that writing in the lights near Hex too. No idea why they removed it. I agree with your ideas on...

    Scarefest 2019

My overall Scarefest detailed review WITH SPOILERS SubSpecies I did SubSpecies again because I wanted to know whether I just had a bad run. It was SO much better the second time; I couldn't believe it. The actors were everywhere, shouting and grabbing you. The quality of this maze genuinely...

Quick review of some of the mazes: Darkest Depths - Great theming, a lot of fun. Acting was very good. Only problem was the ending, because there didnt seem to be one. Project 42 - Loads of fun in some places. Apart from some moments missing actors, it was a very good maze and got quite scary...
