Florida, I’m not sure as haven’t been to Busch Gardens for a while but for Orlando
I’d have to say Hulk. Although Mako is utterly superb, it’s not the only one of it’s type. I’m tempted to say Mine Blower is actually my favourite. Almost felt like a smaller Steel Vengeance.
I knew there was one but couldn’t remember! Would still be easy to market, maybe 2 inversions?
Also got to ride your favourite, Mako, on the same day. Awesome coaster. Almost as good as Fury!
I loved Mine Blower from start to finish, intense and well-paced.
Maybe throughput might be an issue...
I don’t come on here very often but thought I would make a suggestion based on a coaster I rode recently.
Went to Funspot in Kissimmee, Orlando this week to ride Mine Blower and wow, this coaster would be perfect for PB and I think it could fit on the Bowl-a-Drome site.
As far as I know this...
Are there better examples of racing woodies and out and back woodies out there? Probably! There seems to be a severe lack of maintenance and no willingness to improve or upgrade these classic rides at PB which could be the best examples in the world.
Out of interest, which rides are listed at PB?
Maybe I shouldn’t have suggested RMC for any of the woodies. I was just wondering if anyone had suggested the benefits this would surely bring to the Big One.
I’ve ridden 3 RMC coasters in the US. Lightning Rod, Twisted Cyclone and Steel Vengeance. All three are superb coasters. Of the ones...
I’m sure it would never happen but it could be amazing!
Don’t think they should touch any of the woodies either but the one that could probably benefit from RMC the most would probably be Streak.
Ok, I’m not sure if anyone had floated this idea or if it’s even possible but hear me out.
How about RMC... The Big one? Give the ride some decent airtime, make it a bit smoother and possibly add a few inversions here and there.
It was just a shower thought and I’m not sure if it would be...
Felt inspired to do one of these for the first time after last nights ride on a coaster which I think blows all others out of the water.
1. Steel Vengeance, one word- relentless
2. Nemesis, you’re still the one
3. Goliath SFOG
4. Hulk Universal IOA
5. Lightning Rod Dollywood
6. Oblivion (it’s...
So I’m currently staying at breakers and despite the crap weather this weekend I’ve managed to do all the major rides today.
The fast pass is well organised and very much worth it! Managed to do SV 3 times in 20 mins at the end of the night.
That was the best coaster I’ve ever ridden during...
I never said it looked rubbish before!
Icon looks great, it doesn't need anything else for me, just some general landscaping.
It looks like something she's picked up on eBay!
It's the most random piece of theming I've ever seen.
Even if the station was clad in full theming I'm not sure that...
That thing on top of the station looks so out of place! What were they thinking? It's like a warehouse with some weird Japanese theming on top. They'd have been better off without it IMO.
Wow, latest ride testing footage looks great.
I can still see possessions falling out during that barrel roll. Surprised we haven't seen any netting yet.
"Amanda and her brother, deputy managing director Nick Thompson have visited and ridden ‘thousands’ of rides around the world since taking the decision to build a new coaster at the park."
Hmmmmm.... "Thousands"
I'd like to see this too.
I think the history of The Big One is fascinating from stuff I've read and picked up on forums over the years. It's a real Frankenstein coaster. All sorts of changes and compromises since the original plans were drawn up not to mention the crashes.
Then there's things...
I thought as much. So all track is on site and will presumably be in place by next weekend.
Maybe one weekend soon we will see some testing.
Seems to still be a lot of work going on inside the station.
Hats off to everyone who went today and took pictures, looked grim!
