    London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion

This article is very good, featuring an interactive image showing each part of the development, including the "Entertainment Street" (centre) and "Events Space" (bottom right). It also features a lot of local comments and such. :D

    London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion

I'm quite confident this could go ahead, the relevant councils and business/pressure groups seem supportive, and the area is used to major redevelopment and projects with Bluewater (built in an old quarry) and Ebbsfleet International nearby. This has a massive local market, it has the transport...

    Strange Roller Coasters

Oh the flats will most likely be popular, but I meant I doubt that the original idea of a fully fledged coaster would be less popular, although I doubt it will ever be put into manufacture anyway! However, the website of the Unicoaster company (not Chance) says this Interesting...

    Strange Roller Coasters

Straying a bit off topic, but the Unicoaster is marketed and I assume built by Chance/Morgan. Whether this means that they have bought the design off the other firm or just the rights I don't know. I also didn't realise that like on those Gerstlauer Skyflyer things the rider controls the spin...

    Legoland Malaysia

Almost entirely under the radar, Merlin's latest money-spinner magical theme park Legoland Malaysia opened on the 15TH September. So now that's Billund, Windsor, California, Deutschland, Florida and Malaysia, and however many Discovery Centres, with Japan and Dubai apparently under development...

    Secret Weapon 7 Discussion

Exciting stuff, thanks very much! ;D That looks like piling to reinforce the ground to me, don't know what will go there but it'll either be heavy or in a weak spot in the ground.

Virgin Trains lose West Coast Franchise

See Labour and National Express East Coast ;) They're all as bad as one another. In my opinion the railways should be operated as a national service by a national operator, like the Tube in London. It wouldn't be all that unprofitable considering I read somewhere that TfL cover 80% of...

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Re: Thorpe Park Source According to members on TPM the box is supposed to have been flipped over, hence the odd rubble on the top. It's really great to see Merlin add to the ride especially more than once. But would it be too much to ask for a general touch up of other rides and their effects?

Disney Considering Buyout of Disneyland Paris

If this were to go ahead it could only be good news and would hopefully result in a California Adventure style makeover for the Studios. However, I was under the impression that Disney could not own EDSCA outright due to the contractual agreement they have with the French state.

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad

Re: Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built Oh lol :D Presumably this is to gauge the reaction before building a full scale hotel, as planned, given that this will only be up until 2016. Shame it looks bloody awful, and actually makes the dome look appealing.

Virgin Trains lose West Coast Franchise

NXEA was shoddily run and the services were awful. I seem to remember they said they wouldn't clean graffiti off trains and would instead focus their efforts on customer service, or something to that effect. That seemingly didn't work as they always languished down with First at the bottom of...

Virgin Trains lose West Coast Franchise

Even as a "capitalist" I think the railways should be re-nationalised, or at least have a far higher degree of scrutiny. While I haven't used Virgin or First, National Express East Anglia were awful and rightfully had the franchise stripped from them. For a real train firm, observe London...

    Fårup Sommerland: General Discussion

    For a family coaster it looks like it could be quite intense in parts, but I don't see the need for such a tall lift hill compared to the rest of the ride. Also interesting that they went for the two-across trains as opposed to the four-across on Battlestar Galactica at Universal Singapore;

    Paulton's Park 2013: 4D cinema

Re: Paulton's Park 2013: unknown new development Tis indeed a column vector, and the four planes to me signify four "dimensions", so a 4D cinema perhaps?

Disneyland Paris 2014: 'Ratatouille' dark ride

I suppose they are the bits that will be attached to the side of the Costuming building alongside the Parisian themed walkway to TSPL ;D The latest rumours are that you would have been shrunk to the size of a rat and will be moving around the kitchens of a restaurant, using the trackless...

I wondered if they did, but their website doesn't mention it. Then again, they also oppose homosexuality and back creationism.

Given you love providing evidence, as a genuine question which political party that sits in the current parliament supports the death penalty?
