    Smoking etiquette

They seem to have a similar policy in Weatherspoon pubs (I'm not sure if it's all of them, but certainly the 2 nearest to me). When I asked the manager why I'd been told to stop, he said it was because the staff couldn't tell if it was an e-cigarette or a real one. Now, I understand that...

    Flamingo Land: General Discussion

If it's a baking hot day, you won't even be able to lean on it without burning yourself! I know our weathers not the greatest but I wouldn't fancy standing in that on a day like today... :/

[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*

Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2 YAYYYY! Isn't it kind of strange to open on a Thursday though?

[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*

Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2 The logo itself is, definitely, it's just the way it seemed to be stuck on the front of the train that I don't like. Everywhere else it'd used it looks really good, and slightly subliminal, especially on the headrests at the...

My thought exactly! :D :D :D I'm loving these videos, I think they're really well done.

[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*

Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2 I think it was a lot to do with the price. The Oblivion one's were £10 each or they did a deal of 2 for £15. This worked out a lot more expensive that the old Your Day footage, when you think that there was (at one point)...

    Oakwood Discussion

Was there ever any confirmation about whether this was the log flume from Camelot? It looks very similar from the photo's (albeit a bit cleaner ;)) EDIT: Wikipedia's saying it is, but I'm never sure if I should trust that...

[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*

Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2 I like the general idea, but it wouldn't have suited Alton at all. Maybe it's something Merlin will look at for Thorpe in the future, I can see it fitting in with their target audience quite nicely. It could work :D

Just started the latest Harry Bosch book by Michael Connelly. At least I think it's the new one... :S

[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*

Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2 I wouldn't think so, Universal pretty much have the Spiderman theme locked up. If it was originally planned for an IP, I can't imagine what. What movie or story would have a giant spider like structure as it's central focus...

I have the worlds smallest niggle, that probably only affects me. I mostly use the site from work, as my house is in a internet signal dead zone. Because the site is usually fairly quiet during the day, I use the Latest Forum Topics box on the homepage to see what's being talked about at the...

[The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation

That's what I remember, the "guard" dissapeared as soon as the ride and the area were open. No need to keep peolpe out then ;)

[The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation

...At least it's not a racetrack in the stone age ;) It's hardly the worst fitting back story they've come up with for an area. I agree, X-Sector was supposed to be a top secret government experiment, and now we know which top secret government organisation was behind it. The "experiment"...

    2013 park map

I like the map... as a picture or marketing tool. But as an actual "map" to use to navigate the park it's terrible! Last year I heard people complaining that they had tried to walk from Dark Forrest to Forbidden Valley and didn't realise there was a great big valley in the middle. :S The map...

[The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation

I've only ever seen one person lose their lunch after a ride and that was Mission: Space in WDW a month after it opened. I'd been on the ride before this guy, and I was still trying to stop my stomach spinning. I've never even heard anyone complaining of feeling ill coming off a coaster, I'm...

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree with you. The stuff on the Marmaliser should affect the ride experience in some way, so I'd imagine we've got the leg ticklers and the back prodders on the trains that will set off as you go past the correct "leg", and the mist, hypno swirls and flashing...

    [The Smiler] Train Speculation

Does anyone know what coaster they've used as a mock up for that image? I thought the only Euro Fighter with lap bars was SF's Dare Devil Dive, and that's got the ones that come over your head.

[The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation

I'm not sure what other theming we would be getting. Other than the Marmaliser, it just seemed to be painting on the floor of the ride area, and a fairly standard indoor paint job. I think there was some sort of van mentioned on the original plans, but I've no idea if that's still happening...

    X-Sector Developments (Including Oblivion)

Yeah, the latest update from TTF shows the path between Fried Chicken Co. and X-Cite has been kept relatively clear. I recon they'll route guests into the area that way. It would take a disaster for them not to have Oblivion open at the start of the season, it's still one of the biggest...
