    Planet Coaster 2 Speculation

What I’d most like is a more balanced pay one price option. I don’t enjoy running these large parks as if I'm operating a funfair. My proposal would be to charge guests a bit like monthly-billed annual pass. Every in-game month, each guest in the park has, say, $12 deducted from their wallet...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2024 Discussion

If I was involved, I’d pitch a Vekoma tilt coaster. They’ve about as visually striking as a coaster can be, would be hard to fumble the marketing for that.

A new attraction, but first… a good telling off.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2024 Discussion

Hopefully the Grand Prix closure results in a bit of a facelift, it’s looking a bit tired and it’s a great interactive kiddie ride.

What is the ride (if any) that you have regretted going on after the ride finished?

Would have to be Stampedia at Portaventura for me. Really painful experience, and I’m someone who never complains about rough rides.

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

Love this idea. Reduce the cost of running the park, increase the amount available to spend on investment, staffing and upkeep. Should be a national requirement for all new car parks really, eventually getting backdated to cover old ones.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

I like the rebrand but I’d say its main strength is its versatility, so we may not be able to appreciate it properly until we’ve been exposed to more applications. They’ve shown a few examples in the PR (like the stealth/rush posters) and I think they look quite charming!

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

Idk, a gradient would likely have to be individually painted onto the supports whereas block colours are presumably sprayed on ‘in bulk’ the factory? I’d bet there’s a 6 figure saving in labour there, especially if the manufacturer would want a markup on that labour.

    Terra Mitica: General Discussion

Definitely felt like it was on life support, almost as if it’s only function was to prop up their on site hotel and villas. “Look what’s in the back yard! A theme park!”

    Terra Mitica: General Discussion

I was at Terra Mitica yesterday. Lovely park, would have been great to see it when it was a bit younger and fresher. Looks like it was themed to a high standard when first built (but it’s very clear that it’s all from the same era with little added since). Very thin on the ground in terms of...

    SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion

I wonder what the price of a B&M family coaster might look like and how it might compare to similar models from other manufacturers

    Oakwood Discussion

I think the black and orange will look smart. I usually lean towards vibrant colours on rollercoasters, but when they’re standing on quite barren ground away from other attractions, I feel like a vibrant colour scheme can somehow bring attention to the fact that it just looks “plonked” down...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Matugani was relocated from Liseberg Sweden to Lost Island Iowa and opened as new again in 2022. Both are 2005 Intamin Accelerators, so perhaps there is some life left in Rita, especially if Intamin are able to support and make a few £ selling new parts as part of a refurbishment.

One of the leading factors of both PB and PP’s 2021 profits will also be that the VAT rate was 5% that season

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion

I feel like Amanda sees the pleasure beach as a service she provides out of the goodness of her heart and therefore sees questions as a “beggars can’t be choosers” kind of thing.

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

Even if Paultons want to edge up their target age group, it’s well worth keeping their bread and butter well catered for with a new junior ride here and there.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion

I’m surprised OB isn’t part of their zone where planning permission isn't required up to the height of the tower. Does anyone know where that privilege ends?
